mind put up a guide on what we should and should not do , what we have to do.
or maybe a step by step guide for newbies like me....
Hi karthyhu,
Thanks for joining us! I'll try to provide you with step-by-step instructions :
1.
Download the GPU3 client
2. Install it and run it :

3. Add your own userid (you may want to
check first to confirm it is not used globally by anyone yet) :

4. Team is
29995. Let it download the work unit (WU) and confirm it is working by mousing over :

6. You can also pause the simulation at any time you choose (e.g. if you want to play a game) by right-click -> Pause :

7. For easy monitoring of your WUs and to estimate the ppd (points per day), you can use
FAHmon which can be used to monitor multiple clients all from one easy to read GUI. Add the new client by pointing it to the work directory. In Win7, the work directory is in "C:\Users\<your Windows user>\AppData\Roaming\Folding@home-gpu\". To find out your work directory, you can goto the F@H shortcut -> right-click -> and copy the "Start In" location :

8. Finally, once your WU is completed, check your
ranking at the EOC stats pageRemember that we are doing this for the science, and are also competing with other global teams like Hardocp, Anandtech, EVGA, Google, and many many more, in order to push lowyat.net and Folding@Malaysia up the charts!
Fold on!
