headhunter7, double pedal. thats the drum set for my band practice. its a pearl. the one in my room isnt that good but more than enough for room practice on my own. the one in my room is a tama, 2 cymbals (paiste 402 series), 1 ride, hi hat, yamaha dd-55 electric drum set next to it for extra sounds and effects.
pizzaboy, yes i am from jamtank too. cymbals are 101 and 402plus This post has been edited by echobrainproject: May 31 2005, 09:02 PM |

QUOTE(ZidaneZCustom @ Jul 12 2005, 03:41 PM) I'm afraid those metal drummers is not playing the drums, but damaging the drums and cymbal... how can u say these metal drummers are 'not playing the drums'. yes they do play really loud, but whats wrong with that? that doesnt mean they are not playing. many other drummers of other genres play loud too and damage their drums so often (u should see pics of broken double bass pedals, cymbals etc) but that doesnt mean they dont play. are u a drummer? tried playing some really fast metal songs with double bass? that requires skill. In musical terms, the play.... ffffff f = forte (loud) |

mike3300, are u a pro drummer? sound pretty good u can handle DT stuff. i see u're spending so much on cymbals. my younger bro is looking to get zildjians too but for the price u mentioned, its too much as he's only 14.

i own a dd55 which is put on the side just as a supplement to my acoustic set for extra sounds. i dont recommend it being a main practice thing.
by the way, how are stagg cymbals? |

drums are loud. the only way is to make a noise proof room. last time i checked it would cost over rm10,000 for renovations of a single room. not to mention you need a specialist to do it not just anyone.
i know its a problem here in kl as most of us cant afford a bungalow. the usual practice(or musicians here in kl i know) would rent shoplots in places where there arent many ppl around and u can really really make noise(especially at night since most of them will be working during the day). theres an alternative.... get a bandmate who has a large bungalow and put ur drums there and practice with him/her. hahaha. |

yes it will reduce the loudness but not enough. low freq will still pass through.
dont get confused with acoustic foams, which are for room acoustics not sound insulation. |
