QUOTE(Beatmasta @ Mar 18 2007, 08:46 AM) yeah really tight sound, had the crank up the top head n then with the low head on firm tune. i guess with a 14'' x 4 snare should give some space to breath. yet to see u play in church echo. lol sonor drum u mean me playing drums in SIB KL? haha. not yet and i dont think so as guitar is my main instrument. are u from SIB KL too? Rudy's one cool drummer |

i beg to differ. with such a tight budget, the tama drums you'll be getting wouldnt have good shells which will play a huge role in the tone. you can always change skins, but changing shells is another thing

export series are around 2k. with 5k you could get better drums than low end ones. no cymbals though (unless your dad already has a nice collection of cymbals).

personally, if u plan to upgrade, i wouldnt recommend going for 'packs' but rather buy them individually.

yea. now that Namqul mentioned it, I'm recommending a Gretsch! its an awesome drum kit. simple but does the job wonderfully well. would love to own one too. (ahhh...GAS). however, depends on your dad's style. is he a simple drummer or does he want a drumset like mike portnoy's?

QUOTE(Namqul @ Aug 23 2007, 11:04 AM) guyz, im planning of getting a ride. nothing fancy. 20 inch would be enough. and most of the time im going to be using it in my room. the cheaper the better. sabian solar cost rm175. i know it sounds awful but its cheap! any other suggestion or recommendation? haha. that sounds so wrong. 20 inch enough eh? anyways, tried staggs yet? theyre the only budget ones i know that sound good. |
