@Racerx
u using what player for dxva ?
i'm testing with mpc-hc that come with cccp

didnt follow setting from this website but able to use dxva also
testing test file no 1 from here http://imouto.my/watching-h264-videos-using-dxva/ from that website
still got video corruption

from that website also
ATI GPUs with UVD2.x (PCI-E or IGP) + Catalyst 10.4 and newer drivers + Windows Vista or 7 = can play test video 2 to 6, but not The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya NCED theme (Hare Hare Yukai). Success probability is 90%. The issue with AIR NCOP theme (Tori no Uta) also applies

If your pc fast enough it better to disable dxva for SD video since we dont know which encode file affected

after much troubleshoting my system finally fully fuctional! and the culprit is psu sweat.gif even tho solved i still cant fathom why it work on a 8800gt n not 6850?  so now i got 2x working item lying around a 8800gt n acbel r8 800w. really sayang to just let em eat dust.  now thinking to build a whole new rig for 6850 n left these oldies as 2nd rig, after all all i need is a cpu n mobo hmm.gif

Disappointed with new HD6970. Big fat AMD execs don't have idea to run discreet graphics business.  sad.gif

Go buy HD5970 or 2HD 6870s(Crossfire) for smooth and crisp gaming experience.
*
iirc most of 32inch ..is more hd ready than fullHD..if he talking about the 32 inch HDTV ..which only 720p (my HDTV res ) so it will be enough single hd 6850/6870

@wyyam

dell u2311h is great lcd smile.gif cheapest IPS panel u can buy
check http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1645151

well, i plan to use 6950 on 19" lcd  whistling.gif
hehe, lcd will be my next upgrade target

now i'm worry about the load temp and noise, never use a reference cooler before...
*
overkill indeed laugh.gif
wait for improved IPS panel + LED in the future then go straight 24 inch

non reference cooler suck in term of noise but sometime perform on par with non reference cooler if u got bad airflow casing
at least based on my friend experience
couldnt wait on hd 6970 benchmark rclxm9.gif

With that budget, u might wanna get the 6850 as DiabloIII doesn't require a hell lot of framerates to play smoothly.... but u might wanna up your PSU a bit from 400W... AMD recommend 500W for the 6800 series, right now the FSP sagaII 500W is at about RM165 in LYP wink.gif
*
my friend using msi hd6850 with ss400watt no problem smile.gif
but u might want to upgrade your psu for future upgrade ..quad core ..more hdd smile.gif
