QUOTE(freeman85 @ Dec 4 2010, 01:14 PM) good luck and happy gaming guys need to know what Vreg temperature of hd6850.? mine showing 29 c ...is it really low or there is bug on gpuz 0.4.9 using msi hd6850here Wow. . That's a pretty low idling temperature. Usually the HD6850 idles over 40C. I don't think it is a bug, however, have you tried checking the temperature with different softwares? You can download HWMonitor to check . Otherwise, get MSI Afterburner to have a look at the temperatures. This post has been edited by TDUEnthusiast: Dec 4 2010, 02:10 PM

Wow. Rusty and dust casing you have there . How old is the power supply? The 12V rails should provide enough power even for two HD6850s. There's a possibility though, where the power supply can no longer work properly. Have you tried testing the whole system with a different power supply?

. Just get another power supply for now to test. A 450W power supply should be sufficient ( 450W as its true power, not the powerlogic power supplies where it states 450W but in reality only produces 230W of power ).

QUOTE(Revamperz @ Dec 4 2010, 11:58 PM) ill look em up thanks! Added on December 5, 2010, 1:40 amwanna add something during "no driver" on win 7 n safemode my pc can use normally. surfing n normal desktop browsing. doesnt this eliminate the psu as suspect culprit? That's possible . QUOTE(asstoash @ Dec 5 2010, 04:12 AM) Hi forumer, i'm new here. i'm gonna buy new GC next week, an ATI HD5670. just wanna ask, if my psu only got 350watt, will it be fine to use that HD5670? since AMD website suggest to use 400watt psu or greater. will it effect my new GC like overheating or something. thanks... Hello, for the HD5670. Your power supply with 350W should power up the HD5670 without any problems. . This post has been edited by TDUEnthusiast: Dec 5 2010, 01:27 PM

What you have just said isn't very clear, however, I guess you have around RM500 after selling your HD4850? Well. If you don't mind, topping up just RM100 gets you the HD6850 for RM599 . Better than two HD4850s under CrossfireX mode, and it runs on a 450W power supply too. Add-on : Since you have the Silverstone Strider 560W, you could run two HD6850s too . . Well.. Considering that BSODs happens only when you have the driver installed, I suspect that it's conflicting with something in the system .

You're supposed to read the temperature at the ATi Radeon HD 5450 part. . As for the CPU.. . That seems to be a non working sensor, since the temperature is always at a constant 85C.

QUOTE(kysl @ Dec 12 2010, 02:05 PM) Hi guys, would like to ask, wats the best driver for a HD5850 overclocked abit? The drivers from AMD's website will do fine. QUOTE(ask lot question @ Dec 12 2010, 05:14 PM) so is better to buy hd5870 then 6870 in the long run, right??? The HD6870's performance isn't too far from a HD5870's performance, plus it's RM300+ cheaper, so I don't see why would you want to go with the HD5870.

QUOTE(V3nz @ Jan 21 2011, 07:42 PM) lulz,i was thinking to upgrade my gc in the future from 5770 which is moar suitable? 6870 or 6950? and i was actually waiting for asus EAH6870 DirectCu,isit worth it? Most likely the price of the ASUS EAH6870 DirectCU would be over RM800, as ASUS cards are normally priced much higher than other brands. If that's the case, and the HD6950 1GB is about the same price, then you'd be better off getting the HD6950 instead.
