just wonder.....if we download Kies exe from UK Samsung site and install, can this replace Kies hack for Froya flashing???

guys, I'm thinking of getting an android phone, and one of them in my mind is the Galaxy S (the other is desire Z, but that's a story for another day). So far I'm very impressed wit the reviews and stuff. I hate how TouchWiz looks but I guess I can get it replaced with LauncherPro.

Thing is, today I went to a shop and inquire, the fella tell me the SGS has lots of problem and complaints. I acknowledged that I know the GPS is faulty and the RFS lag issue, but he insisted that it has more problems than that. What specifics, I dunno coz he mumbled stuff like 'very expensive, got lots of problem, a lot ppl complain'. In the end I gave up and left.

So, are there such extra other issues with the phone? Answers are much appreciated. I know this is a SGS thread so there's probably more praise than curses. Just trying my luck...

I ask if he got sell, he ask me why i wan buy and told me the 'problems', so I think he didn't take in SGS. He has a Galaxy 5 (five) on display though.  Mengsuan you from Puchong right? I'm refering to the HTC shop at Digital World IOIMall.

Is there a reason shops are selling this thing so expensive? Was quoted one at 2599 another at 2699. Crazy...

the >2K price tag is still a bit of a deterrent. Am scouting for a 2nd hand SGS.

Just to be sure, there isn't a place to tie a lanyard to the SGS, right?

root already, using ASTRO file manager? Any good root explorer recommended? 

i was trying to apply lagfix,then after reboot,it got stuck at galaxy s reboot screen

Help~!!! Phone can't turn on...
I did the flashing for csc with using odin, after odin show pass then my phone should be going to reboots. but my phone no reboots, just nothing happen... just look like turn phone off... thn i try to on back the phone, but the phone can't on already... i have try remove the battery and put it back, still can't on the phone... try in download mode, recovery mode, on the phone, but can't... what should i do? Any methods?? or i should take my phone to samsung service centre? ... dunno y will like tat... >.< T.T

naked screen is scratch proof right?

nah, juz scratch resistant, i hav a hairline scratch on my screen. but only noticeable if u look at certain angles.
