Is the ping below <200ms playable? not significant delay etc.
very tempted to start after read d 1st page hehe

Your problem get it fix. check with your isp if the problem sustain. So far no problem on wowtaiwan.

average ping is 100ms - 250ms depending on your location.

very playable with no notice-able delays.
some spikes only occur if there is something wrong with your internet connection, like, someone in your house streaming youtube, browsing high quality mui mui photo in facebook etc.


before, i swear i will never play world of warcraft, ever, bcos, expensive cd keys, monthly server access fees. high pike, lots of lag spikes, must use tunneling services etc.

now, i play regularly on wow taiwan.
no entry cost, affordable monthly fees, alternative fees based on time card, i.e. you only pay for how much hours you play, low ping, extremely little or close to no lag spikes etc.

i tried out 30 days of time card at RM52 and i find myself grinding away for more than 3 hours per day.

now, i play using time card, RM18 = 30 hours, so RM54 = 90 hours but i play casually, not forcing myself to grind 3 hours per day anymore.

i used to play in US-WOW server with 250ms-320ms with gamepath, arena rating max i can get is 1800++, always lose to those US player b@st@rd who got less than 100ms, i want to maximize the lag/latency delay possibility to get better arena rating in TW-WOW

hahah, it may sound lame, but this is exactly the reason why me and my frens started off in wowtaiwan and abandon our acct in wowUS

This few days i'm able to get 7x ms even in stormwind when there's no lag spike going on.

May i know which wow version i should dl? coz there are a few version, o i only download d basic and will update to d latest version/patch/?

erm, which version i should select to install? coz i dl an installer and gave me 2 choose 3 types version of WoW.
1. WOW
2. Burning crusade
3. WoTLK

You have to download from the first to Cataclysm, one step at a time.

And i think i remember seeing someone download just the first one and let it patch until the latest one in this forum.

new player will just need to dl the file off the website and let it update itself till u can play. No more step by step dl or install.
