izputra&sallehsi : oh i see, but wat if change tyre(when botak)....still affect right??
*
For 17" rims, as long as u change to new tyres with profile 45, u are good to go. No deviation to speedometer reading whatsoever. For our car with 17" rims, please stick to 215/45/R17 tyres..u have no worry in term of speedometer reading then.

Else, if u wanna change to 16" rims & tyres, please choose tyres with 205/55/R16 that is well within 3% rule (ignorable speedometer reading deviation) nod.gif

all sifus,

if 1k service, i over to 1.2k will it ok? Which KL SC recommended?

How to i make appointment for services? Online? or call?
*
It's completely ok. The treshold is 2k km. Dont go over 2k km as it will ruin your car's warranty, your free service (labour) & also your free alignment service.

Last time i did my 1st service at 1.8k km. No harm done to all the 3 things i mentioned above. So no worry bro wink.gif

Selayang & Chan Sow Lin SC are among those recommended by our members here in KL especially if your car got problem technically. But for normal scheduled services, all other SCs are acceptable. Up to u to decide which one is convinient to go. Making a service appointment by calling to your selected SC should be a better way as u can confirm the empty slot on your chosen date & time wink.gif

biggrin.gif  Thank you very much. For the engine oil, any recommendation to use semi or fully????? and what shall i concern when doing service? Are they open on weekend?
*
Use fully syn. In 5 years time, the servicing cost for fully syn oil will lower than the mineral oil in total. So for me, better opt for fully syn. Less travelling to SC & less time wasted & save some more wink.gif

SC open all day except Sunday. Your main concern when sending your car for servicing is just to file a complaint regarding any dissatisfactions about your car (if any)

behkokhong, u might ask izputra for it...coz he might had similar problem like urs b4

Yup..me got banged from behind by the Iswara at Kedah. Actually i want to change my rear bumper with a new one & asking Alor Setar SC for the quotation. They quote me RM1700 all in for a new rear bumper. But at the end, i did it at my trusted knockshop at my hometown (Perlis). Just knock, touch up & repaint the rear bumper only as a cheaper alternative. Coz i kesian tu that Iswara driver..orang kampung saja maa..mana mau cari RM1700 on the spot to pay for the damage. The workmanship is good..so it was a win-win situation for both parties.

Izputra bro thanks for your sharing  wink.gif . i think i get recommended car repair at shah alam, probably will go there before CNY. today i called to SC manager and ask about the new booty cover price, he said 2k++, i get shocked  shocking.gif  then better go for repairing as it just a dented only. Hopefully the workmanship is good then i will be happy
*
If it just a dent..repair & repaint the rear bumper will do. Replace with a new rear bumper if it was broken badly especially the clips or when u have extra money to spend wink.gif

If u wanna use the car on CNY, kindly send the car for repairing job at least a week earlier. Mine took about 5 days to be done. Actually the paint job alone took about 2 days. It is for the paint to dry & then spraying the clear coat & let it dry completely.

Did u wonder why Forte winning so many awards & received good reviews all over the world? Here, it was just a Malaysian mindset that let it down...

Saw a 2.0 FL just now.
I think appearance wise not much of difference compare to the current one.
There is reverse camera, wing light,17'Rim and yeah paddle shift made of plastic too. But no sun roof.
And according to SA unlike the current Power steering which uses Hydraulic Pump this one uses MDS eerrr not sure what is that heheh.
*
MDPS to be exact..Motor Driven Power Steering or also known as Electric Power Steering wink.gif

*
Dont regret & feel sad bro. It's normal. Every car will be facelifted at certain time including Forte. The new Forte FL comes with extra price tag for the extra goodies that came with it

Haha sad because I asked my salesmen whether got new facelift coming and he told me no..if not I would wait for a few months..but nvm..I think I wanna fix the side mirror like the FL..wonder how much tongue.gif
*
To clear their old stock, SA have to answer that way. Else, nobody will buy it & wait for the new facelifted car to arrive instead. Dont simply trust the car's salesman. We need to do our own research beforehand wink.gif

does forte spare parts/maintainance cost more than honda city's?
*
I've posted this maintenance comparison table several times before. Kindly read my post #2648 on V8 here. But dont have the figures for the spare parts though...

P/S : bro SMK, is it possible to put that table on the first page for the benefit of all?

Cybermaster98 - Sure. Here it is:

- 6 Speed auto transmission with paddle shifters (1.6 SX & 2.0 SX only)
- New Gearbox design (not so nice design compared to older one)
- LED Repeaters / Side Mirrors with auto-folding (not really consider auto, but need to press button to fold/unfold).
- Reverse Camera & Display
*
U've missed 1 more new feature..the handphone bluetooth connectivity with the audio system that also come with control buttons on the steering spoke wink.gif

yup overlooked that one, didnt realised it was a new feature in FL until yesterday. So looks like all in all, quite a decent amount of new stuff for the extra 4-5k. Pretty worth it!
*
For me, the new 6-speed GB alone already justified the extra price that come with it. How i wish the GB are coupled with the D-CVVT Theta II engine or perhaps GDI engine..it should be a perfect match then. However, GDI engine most probably will not arrive at our shore due to our poor fuel standards. Poor us Malaysian not to have such a good & efficient engine...
