to tell you the truth.. alignment issue is the main concern for owners.. coz designed for left hand drive
but by changing the camber nut will do the tricks.

as for SC experience, it differs from one to another. some ok, some so-so, some excellent.

Hi taipan, I'm also interested in getting forte so hope you dun mind me reply this msg also ... Juz wondering where to change the camber nut and how much is it ?

I read the paper before i sign and i'm sure it's just a test drive declaration thing ... but now after i come back only i remember i didn't actually fill out the form lolz ... juz sign oni .. they can't do anything with it right ? and also photocopy of my ic and license =/

damn AAM sucks, can't fully claim the tow money 1...

uniasia is good, based on my previous experience, in term of respond time.

how much is 3rd party adjustment ? i mean i wanna know if it's too big of a problem onot oni =/ you say u get used to it means what ? to drive the car straight u need to tilt ur steering a little to the right side everytime ? that's not very nice right haha

well i'm not a car pro or anything la .. i've only drove waja and x-trail before. Well the forte 2.0 is like unbelievable !! The pick up is good .. can't test any fast speed stuff coz he only let me drive small road =.= I'm very impressed with

1) Push button start up (haha jakun)
2) Rear view camera .. very realistic
3) F1 style manual shift tongue.gif
4) Many buttons on the steering
5) Spacious boot
6) Leather seat seems good ..

I guess u're getting more than what you pay for ... but of coz like everyone says .. it's cheap coz it's KIA .. I really hope to get some honest feedback from forummers here regarding this machine .. how bad is it ? Coz nowadays i heard toyota and honda also having alot of problem themselves so what so great about those cars ? This car is jam packed with awesome features which i think probably camry/accord also dun have ..

It's almost impossible for me to go tru hundred over pages but I did scan through most of it and it seems there's 2 main problem which is the sound problem and allignment problem ? Both of this can be solved easily right ? Any other major problem like engine problem or window problem or brake problem ? =/

the tilting is really minimal probably 1-5 degree ? will notice much more in highway especially the drainage is over the left side

some of the defects face by user:
1) rattling sound from seat belt
2) squeaking sound from seat
3) left swirve
4) start failure due to sensor located at break level (secluded)
5) Engine high rev during initial start (secluded)
6) Fuel Cap unable to open due to insufficient tension (secluded) - I kena fix @ SC
7) window rattling sound on high speed (secluded or upon personnel opinion)

just take note on such issue , other than that no major issue at the moment except one 1.6 with engine failure (able to move but only 3 working piston) - issue solve

Besides this, things to take note were like major replacement parts require to wait up to 1-2 months

Thanks for the info smile.gif. I do own a kia and had a pretty lousy experience from their SC. The last time I visited them (which is around 3 years ago) is due to frequent stalling. As the warranty is over, I believe they didn't bother to diagnose the prob and insist that changing the entire gearbox is necessary. The technician even suggest that I should bring it to his workshop to get it fixed (which I guess is the reason y he insist that the gearbox is faulty). Not satisfy with the diagnose given, I took it to another workshop for analysis and they said only some maintenance is needed (don't remember what though) and the car still working fine till today.

My major concern is that the forte is equip with so many technology, their services is equally as important as I fear that other workshop may not have the technology to fix some of the more technical problem and from what I heard so far and read from this forum. I'm not very confident with their services and expertise.

I've also been following this forum for quite a while and found out that there's quite a lot of complain on the push start as well.

Is there any forte owners from Penang?? Mind telling me ur experience and also the SC here.
