Carra never fail my anticipation that he'll hoof the ball up everytime he has the chance.

QUOTE(Kerplunk @ Nov 8 2010, 04:20 PM) congrats to pool. fantastic finishes from torres. an example of a touch of finesse for the first, and just pure power for the second. second goal killed us off, and he was the difference today. i think the ref was a little too lenient on the niggly fouls, and we badly needed more setpieces to threaten u guys. been awhile since i've seen such resolute defending from liverpool. actually to be fair, this morning's Chelsea is not the usual Chelsea.p. s: if u look closely at the replays, right after he took those goals he was gesturing towards abramovich who had this concentrated look on his face! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Lady luck was on liverpool's side as well. Even though Chelsea lost, I still see them as the main title contender this season. No doubt about that because Chelsea has the consistency and depth in the team. Also, as for the fouls, several offences should be carded to both side's players, namely Terry's high rise challenge on Torres, Maxi's dive, Don't know whose header on Ngog. Anyway, a win is a win. You'll Never Walk Alone. |

Let's look on the bright side, at least Torres scored and we're 9th.
If Torres keeps up his form, possible scenarios could be: (1) Team keeps winning if others can put up a good performance. (2) Torres can leave by mid/end of season with a higher price tag. As much as I don't like Torres to leave, I'd have nothing/no one to blame for his decision as the team don't live up to their potential. You'll Never Walk Alone. |

Guus Hiddink: I was wanted by Man City and Liverpool
There you go boys, Guus is out of the question. I'd prefer MP if there's any change to the manager. Also, I'm not too worried about the end result of the club by the end of the season. I'm sure NESV knows what they're doing because LFC is still a very large investment to them. As an experienced sporting franchise, they'll do what they should to safe keep the best interest of their asset. Anyway, fingers crossed while watching the drama unfolds. expect a shocking news sometime from now. |

After reading all the posts, it left me wondering, can ANY of the big guns (i.e. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, MC, MU) be relegated?
It'll be interesting to see this though if Liverpool really are relegated this season. Anyhow, I'll still support them in Championship. P/S: It happened before in Serie A with Juve dropped to Serie B but promoted 1 year later thanks to the loyal service of the top footballers in the club. |

Kuyt - Pen
will this be a high scoring match? I wonder why Torres was not the penalty taker. |
