No offense to us , with that record mentioned , I am crossing my fingers when we face Blackburn this weekend.

I have been hearing  " Will Livepool win next game ? " damn often lately.

I have been hearing taunting from my MU fans (attention, particularly and only MU fans) for most of the time. laugh.gif
I chose to ignore them. laugh.gif

Same here , the Arsenals' and Skis' doesn't seem to tease me , only the ManUs'.
It's because in my gang , the combination of the fans of the 3 clubs are still heavily outnumbered by the ManUs'.
Because there's a lot of so called " fans " tongue.gif tongue.gif
*
well, best way to shut them up is to ignore.
works everytime!

well, it got me thinking.
is it harder to start with a 16th placed team or to start with a 7th placed team?

Sometimes what he speaks really amuses me, if I look at the brighter side. laugh.gif

What is he so afraid of? Putting Carra at that position would actually backfire IMO. Kelly is much more suited to play right back. He has had a taste of being in the first team already, so why not just start him?? RH is too scared to try out young players like Wilson, Jonjo and Kelly.  doh.gif
*
Great job RH!
With your words, you'd killed Kelly's dreams.
What for you go to praise one but end up killing another? vmad.gif

Ohya. what he's afraid of?
Drop Carra, Carra beh song, Carra don't back him.

Don't need to lose to get 20th.
West Ham draw tonight will send Liv bottom of the table.
So tonight Liv can bottom of table already.

Spurs never at 19th after 8 games if not mistaken.

The difference is Spurs started to climb up after Harry come in, aka change the new manager.
Liv has installed a new manager when the season start.

Also, the difference, as you said, Spurs come close to bottom, But Liv could be bottom tonight.

Liv can also top the table when season finish because, from previous comment there is 90 points to play for, 90+6 = 96 enough to win the league.  whistling.gif

what you said got point oso.
30 games still and possible 90. If we win all of them, then we can win the league! laugh.gif

QUOTE(digilife @ Oct 23 2010, 06:00 PM)
++, lets hope tat WHU get a draw tonite as all the while i think we are Jinx and maybe if we touch the dust, we will be back on top, or rather top half of the table..........John Henry will slaughter RH then laugh.gif
*
laugh.gif come to think of it, being at the very bottom is nothing so bad after all. at least we get a feel on how the relegation zone club fans are feeling.
which make the support more crucial to the team than ever. laugh.gif

same mate but I want my team to win now more than RH to come down ...it is very sad to see our team to lose only can make RH lost his place
*
RH still needs to win at least 29 games more to prove himself that he's worthy of managing the team. laugh.gif
Anything before that, I'll still be holding my views of him.

As much as I wanted a loss to force out RH, the win is seriously enjoyable! rclxm9.gif

Debate: Soto in first XI?
source

As mentioned, should Soto play in the first 11?

I'd slot him in with Agger for teams that tends to prime in the air while Skertl and Carra as back up.
As for pacey teams, I'd opt for Agger + Skertl combo while Soto and Carra as back up.
For tactical teams, I'd slot in Carra + Agger for positioning.
Open debate anyone?

Report: Liverpool Want Benfica Star Fabio Coentrao

QUOTE
Liverpool are reportedly considering making a move for Benfica wing-back Fabio Coentrao.

According to a report in Record, Europa League hopefuls Liverpool are considering making a move for highly rated wing-back Fabio Coentrao, currently under contract with reigning Portuguese champions Benfica.

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson is reportedly unhappy with the performances of new signing Paul Konchesky and is therefore looking for a new wing-back. The 63-year-old gaffer supposedly sees Coentrao as the perfect replacement.

Coentrao joined Benfica from Rio Ave in the summer of 2007 and has developed into a key player at the Aguias in the past two seasons. The 22-year-old also impressed with his good performances for Portugal at the 2010 World Cup.

The left-back's current contract with Benfica runs until 2016, but Coentrao could leave the Lisbon giants if a club matches his €30 million release clause.

Bayern Munich and Milan are also believed to be keeping tabs on the versatile youngster.

30m Euro for this kid?
Worth it??

exactly what I thought.
RH wouldn't think of (1) dropping Carra, (2) fielding Johnson on the RW. laugh.gif

Cheez's formation is good. Anyways we can always use this to look at Liverpool's tactics and line up. So no more using the ASCII format (sometimes it just doesn't serve to justify the setup we want to show)
*
laugh.gif that was near impossible to achieve with RH. However, the formation is too attacking minded, not so suitable for fast counter attacking teams. tongue.gif
and after reading his post match comments posted on the last page, I really doh.gif
I'd rather have him keep his silence before and after the game. doh.gif

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Oct 27 2010, 12:24 PM)
Actually, Carragher is already rather familiar with either fullback position having played there for years under Houllier. Only in 2005 did he play consistenly at centreback and he was already in his late 20's then. The problem with Carragher is his inability to pass. He wasn't given the license to get forward under Houllier who preferred to have 11 men behind the ball, inviting pressure and hoping to hit on the counter. Under Rafa, he's been given the freedom to get forward more and he's even had a few audacious attempts at goal. Can't say he doesn't have his shooting boots on despite not having scored much because he started as a striker but then again, it's probably why he's been moved further back.
*
He holds the club record for most own goal. laugh.gif

Arsenal is a kind of team which is 'almost there'.... but they never get the prize... get me? not hating on arsenal.. they're good... but... they just never have that 'X-factor' to steal the title away from Chelsea/Man U.

I dont mind the New Owners not wanting to splurge on the market during the transfer window... i think its good they want to spend 'good' money and not puke cold hard cash like Man City. It would be nice to see our club with all these workmen (sometimes without passion) but morally its disgusting... to me at least.

My verdict,

Despite everybody saying that Konchesky was ok for yesterday's game, I think that he lost the ball too much, caught out of position too often and lose the player he marked not once not twice but a lot of times.
I forgot how many times I shook my head watching his mistakes.

Again, Ngog made a difference as what I see him as a gem. Too bad RH didn't give him much chance to play. Hopefully with JC injured, he could be started.

As for the big names of Torres, Gerrard, etc, they didn't really play that well to be honest. Maybe my expectations towards them are high but what they showed as compared to what they're valued were not balanced.

I also saw some posters wanting a 4-4-2, but don't forget that we lost to MC 3-0 with a 4-4-2. Think twice when playing against Chelsea with a 4-4-2. sweat.gif

Alas, a good 3 points which looked to be a 1 point performance.
