What is he so afraid of? Putting Carra at that position would actually backfire IMO. Kelly is much more suited to play right back. He has had a taste of being in the first team already, so why not just start him?? RH is too scared to try out young players like Wilson, Jonjo and Kelly.

Liverpool are reportedly considering making a move for Benfica wing-back Fabio Coentrao.

According to a report in Record, Europa League hopefuls Liverpool are considering making a move for highly rated wing-back Fabio Coentrao, currently under contract with reigning Portuguese champions Benfica.

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson is reportedly unhappy with the performances of new signing Paul Konchesky and is therefore looking for a new wing-back. The 63-year-old gaffer supposedly sees Coentrao as the perfect replacement.

Coentrao joined Benfica from Rio Ave in the summer of 2007 and has developed into a key player at the Aguias in the past two seasons. The 22-year-old also impressed with his good performances for Portugal at the 2010 World Cup.

The left-back's current contract with Benfica runs until 2016, but Coentrao could leave the Lisbon giants if a club matches his €30 million release clause.

Bayern Munich and Milan are also believed to be keeping tabs on the versatile youngster.

Actually, Carragher is already rather familiar with either fullback position having played there for years under Houllier. Only in 2005 did he play consistenly at centreback and he was already in his late 20's then. The problem with Carragher is his inability to pass. He wasn't given the license to get forward under Houllier who preferred to have 11 men behind the ball, inviting pressure and hoping to hit on the counter. Under Rafa, he's been given the freedom to get forward more and he's even had a few audacious attempts at goal. Can't say he doesn't have his shooting boots on despite not having scored much because he started as a striker but then again, it's probably why he's been moved further back.

Arsenal is a kind of team which is 'almost there'.... but they never get the prize... get me? not hating on arsenal.. they're good... but... they just never have that 'X-factor' to steal the title away from Chelsea/Man U.

I dont mind the New Owners not wanting to splurge on the market during the transfer window... i think its good they want to spend 'good' money and not puke cold hard cash like Man City. It would be nice to see our club with all these workmen (sometimes without passion) but morally its disgusting... to me at least.
