Local and not weebo. Most of the kids/people I talked to who is not into Japanese anime does not really find it appealing. And as I said, before, why does Keluang Man succeed that even now people are talking about it? Because it's local and it made fun of local culture. For your information I take back what I said about this anime, NOT what I said about what we need to do.
i meant that in general terms anyways (be it cars LOL POTONG or smart phones HAHA CSL) but still, i am local, and i am merely pointing out that what you said (quoted and bolded) is very much untrue. had you said local and weaboo earlier, sure, thats passable. however you did not, and that's that.
and FYI anyways, doesnt matter on what we need to do. if even the creators are speaking ill of their own creation, shit sure isnt going to have a bright turnout in any case unless something drastic happens. ain't it FRIGGIN obvious? japanese wanna continue their usual anime shit japanese way, and our gahmen claims its not malay enough. when 2 guys want to do 2 things for ONE single outcome, you know it aint turning out well.
someone's gotta give in, and it looks like gonzo (not that i am siding of them anyways, f***ing gg'd mah BB:CS cutscenes) is having the short end of it while being the side thats leading in the industry.
i mean, yeah, you can be patriotic and all, but when shit are THIS obvious, you know you can't just put blames on gonzo bellying up and f***ing up. sides, for all the f***ups the gahmen has done, its really a whole lot EASIER to point fingers at them.

do mind that not all people are like you. heck, you might not even watching upin dan ipin but they raked more than rm 6 million and that's not including you.
do mind that i am STILL a Malaysian and i have my own right of preferences and choices.
and really, whats the point of putting ipin and upin on the line and even comparing numbers? why Malaysia have the tendency to compare with something LESSER all the f***ing time? ("hey at least our screamyx is better than folks on afganistan that dont even have proper phone lines or even food and water" or "hey our KLCC is f***ing tall yoooooo") you want to put out numbers? go compare to some animation giant like disney/pixar. see where i am going right now? friggin pointless.

Naw, this is just plain bias. Who knows, the voice acting
might just be good, and hearing Hang Tuah speaking japanese might just look/sound super awkward. There are malay mannerisms in his speech to consider, too. Then again, the script itself will play a huge role on all this. Will they speak modern, or archaic? That, imo, matters more than the language it's spoken.
Look at Iron Man. No doubt FujiKei is a good seiyuu (i like him), but god damn, Tony Stark sounds bloody awkward speaking in Japanese.you know, out of ALL the titles ive picked up this season, surprisingly i STILL HAVE NOT picked this up. and thats is probably EXACTLY why. im too used with american original iron man, and the movies, cartoons when i was a kid etc. and in case you didnt know, yes, i really have a HUGE favor ism (perhaps bias) to originality. eg: anime stays japanese, american iron man stuff stays american, no buts! (lol index2)
hence for this i am totally not stressed at all if its going to be malay or english or even japanese. if its good ill watch, else i wont.
