- the driver is signed by the person that modded the driver, not by AMD / Microsoft
- win7 64 bit will not load driver like that by default...
- the install.cmd will set your OS to accept any kind of signed driver

which means the install.cmd will alter my default of not loading any not AMD/Microsoft signed driver to loading any signed driver? Did I get it right?

yup, something like that lor.

Microsoft do this because they only want 'qualified' driver to be loaded in the OS, coz any problem with driver may coz ur OS to stop loading, which is bad.

So, by enforcing only valid 'signed' driver, the drivers are more trust-worthy, and usually coz less problem, compare to driver which created by individual and may be not even tested.

in this case, the modded driver seem to be working very well as tested by others...

Ya, some user really complain about the switchable graphic, especially because Acer not updating their Intel driver. Some complains because they really duno how to update their driver and end up breaking it and no longer able to switch...

That is why forum like this is important. Experience from other owner can help them. So, if you install the modded driver, or if you install the Catalyst (in Discrete mode), you should be able to keep everything functional like me.

Beuwolf says it's no longer taking order... so, whatever left in stock is the last! Do note that, this is the only dual-fan notebook in 13" or below. the new 3830tg no longer has dual-fan.

acer fired their CEO, Gianfranco Lanci recently. they got fed up in making only tiny margin. "Apple, maker of the iPad tablet, iPhone and iMac computer had a 21.5% profit margin in its last fiscal year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Acer had 2.3%."

so, who knows what gonna happen in the future.. may be TimelineX will came with SSD, then become RM4500?!

800mAH got much different bo in terms of battery? 5400 rpm nia but 7200 rpm can't even noticeable at all. ermm~~

Since its using 10.8v, the 800mAh * 10.8v = 8.6Wh, it could mean extra 30min - 1 hour depending your power consumption...
If using it fullpower, can be extra 15min..

and 3820TG/4820TG/4830TG got extra 18Wh

Because the 5200mAh is 56Wh while the 4400mAh is 48Wh, 56/52 = 10.8v
While TimelineX is using 11.1v, 11.1v * 6000mAh = 66.6Wh..

mine 9v nia.. hahaha 56/52 = 1.077 that is what? x10 again? paiseh.. i long time din touch my electronic even thou i studies majoring in electronics..
