gazza should be sent off there...

that being said, stoke are playing with their physical as well and we rarely got the foul called.

I think for most of criticising, it's basically a case of: good win! but let's not get carried away. We're still some ways of our required form to be champions.

true on the form but it was our first away win. so lets just enjoy the moment. besides, united always start on thier momentum from nov onwards..

agree with most of you here.. that our defence with rio and vidic is excellent at the moment.. but midfield like crap against stoke.. passing way way too many mistakes...i thought we could have Obertan playing on the left instead of Evra sad.gif

@leongtat :

not only you think carrick's performance is terrible.. to be honest, he's a decent player for clubs like everton,spurs etc.. but at united, his carelessness already bring us down so many times. and i dont think he will ever justify his 25 Million price tag.. except the champions league Roma where he was good.
*
Since when did Carrick worth that? whistling.gif

Like I've mentioned earlier, obvious troll is obvious. And I wonder why my post got deleted by mod. Instead he didn't take a good look of these kind of posts. Sheesh.

FYI, Carrick cost us somewhere in the region of 18mil quid. Knowing Spurs and Levy, we wouldn't get anything cheap from them. You're having somewhat selective memories. FFS, he put on a great performance during his first year with us, partnering Scholes all the way till we won the league. He is the best partner for Scholes in post-Keano era.

Again, he was decent in recent matches he is played in. I can particularly remember he played very well in Community Shield. On why he is being dropped, I don't know.

No one is denying that the midfield was piss poor last night. I found that no one mentioned that Scholesy was poor as well. Why? Because he's a legend already? If it weren't for his AWFUL pass, the goal wouldn't be conceded in the first place. And the fatigue that got on to Evra to leave Tuncay running around on the left side somewhat contributed to it.

In my opinion, Scholes can/should be dropped already. Play the others. And Carrick is not the same as Hargo. Carrick is almost the same mold of Scholesy. That, and he is a chicken when fighting for possession or challenging for balls at times despite having a huge body. But it is understandable because that is not the nature of his gameplay.

He's a silent-reader of the game. Making necessary runs and tackles when needed. And it is no big surprise if his form has dipped so much. He is not being played, FFS. I really can't understand the criticism he gets. Plus, some even wanted for him to be sold and changed with more of household names like VdV, Sneijder and etc. So long he's United, he should have the support he deserved. And so long that Fergie feels he worths to don the colors, he should get the respect that he deserved.

Criticisms are welcomed but should be adequate.

And speaking of poor forms, Fletcher himself isn't in a decent one, is he? Apart from Nani yesterday, the other three was almost to non-existent. Yes, that includes Pat Evra himself. He was like a defender at the center of the field. Attacking on the left side was down to nothing. I am not sure why Obertan was not brought in earlier. I figured that Fergie would subbed out Evra and Scholes. Keep O'Shea on the left side of defense. Despite of his ridiculous passings, he defended well throughout.

Valencia is truly missed.

And for the record, yesterday's match between City and Arsenal shows that even with big big household names, teamwork gets above everything. Hence, the win over them bitters. They could reasoned out with 10vs11 yet it was their clumsiness caused to that situation in the first place. Nice tackle on Chamakh by Boyata.
