Welcome liquid_hermit,

That lensmate is quite good, and nicely attached the lens...look more pro feel....
if The receiver with adhesive ring (Part 1 - stays on the camera) is stick so well that it wont drop off when you put inside ur bag or when some force is on the part. Then i sure this is a good deal.

i have the old type of adapter that look like: similar to lensmate, i bought from HK ebay seller.
1. Lensmate G12/G11/G10 Adapter - Part A (the base)
2. Lensmate G12/G11/G10 Adapter - Part B ( the 72mm filter holder)
3. 72mm UV filter
my PRO and CONS is the two part make your G12 became bigger, and block the flash. It matter to someone.

have a look,
58mm lens adapter (a clone of FA-DC58B)

liquid_hermit, you can try pm the RM35 seller ask him. Or you want direct go and "BANG" the seller that sell you RM150 (also can). B4 you go and "BANG", check other online shop to confirm the price, like amazon, ebay....or other online camera shop. Coz some fake filter can be cheap.

Lensmate G12 Quick-Change Filter Holder kit 52mm might never sell in malaysia, you have to buy it online. Small % camera shop have (coz is too expensive compare to Made in China), but i never search b4. Fastest way is buy it online.

UV filter quality is depends on the price, what you paid is what you get.
i get a second hand 72mm UV HAKUBA(dun know what brand, never heard b4) for rm50 or less.

so normally for G12, a normal filter will do the job.

u r looking for picture i taken? or picture of the camera with the adapter? haha...
i would recommend u take on the quick change and not the other tube adapter... not worth to invest for the later in my opinion. but for the quick change definitely is very very useful. I use it often with CPL or UV filter and the result is great. i also tried with Macro conversion lens and wide angle conversion lens on the quick change adapter itself.

here are some pics... u can check them in my flickr... search my username the.mono.eye

shot with Macro conversion lens

shot with wide angle conversion lens

shot with Grad Filter (this is another option with those square filter, not the quick change. i borrow it from my fren, u can consider it)

This is wif CPL, but not a very good example... i cant really find one at the moment...

the picture above i didn't crop (if i remember correctly).
both wide angle and macro conversion lens i used was from Raynox (I can't recall the exact model i'm using, those lens are not with me at this moment). u can find some in the Shashinki website or the lensmate website as well.

quick change is better in my opinion bcos it stick on the front of the lens, therefore no issue in vignetting and so on. with the tube adapter, u wil get less flexibility. i will post some shot when i'm free to do so. haha.

anyway, thanks for the compliment. still working hard on my works.

Though I'll just share a pic taken with my lovely g12 smile.gif

By the way, I've just bought a Conversion Lens Adapter LA-DC58K and was just wondering if I can add filter on top of it?
