Eleganz Concept, my living room is Square Size, i put my L-Box Square Size, 2 in one side, total 8 down light.

tks for ur reply!

IC, 8 in total still ok for 16 x 16 living. is just putting 2 in one side, why not put evenly around the living? i just only concern about the even of lighting. May be there is a concern of style for thier concept.

If you but a 6" downlight box, you can adjust the brightness by using 1 bulb or 2 bulbs in each DL. Generally I recond 4 feet distance for each DL would be sufficient? any lighting sifu here?

i thought 6 inch downlight, 6 feet spacing, 5 inch downlight , 5 feet spacing.
If you make the distance nearer there are portion where the lights overlap and become brigher than the rest. Then lighting will be not so even.

This concept may be right but not really applicable for all the house and area, because is depent on the ceiling height. But base on my eperiance, 4" DL with 4ft distance is almost correct to all the residencial house with ceiling height about 8.5ft to 10ft.

But i also find out, now a day, most of the downlight not using transfomer already, not like last time PLC downlight is with transfomer. and i find out, PLC down light compare to the direct 1 is much brighter. 2 same area, 1 with PLC downlight, 1 with direct, the direct 1 will feel 4ft distance not really good enough, but PLC will feel is nice and some ppl say a bit more.

Renovation means tiles + painting + custom design stuff?

Maybe you can breakdown the cost of each, so maybe I can follow tongue.gif
