how come "build rating: 2.67"? is it full plastic?
*
fully plastic... not as solid as minolta/sony 100mm, sigma 105mm or SP90

but the optics are nice biggrin.gif can produce sharp photos

GGS is good... i'm using it on my A300 and A700... SLT/new models will need a while for their GGS

Added on November 12, 2010, 8:22 pmfor the first one, the seller doesn't answer me much when i asked him, just say no worries, long battery life...

the 2nd one with 'original' packaging, the seller told me that it's a high copy one made in china and quality as good as original...
*
got both of my china decoded batteries today... works well on my a33 after fully charged.... will do a stress test later biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Newbieeeeee @ Nov 12 2010, 11:14 PM)
i got my 2 octopus batteries for a380.. it works fine.. juz that the % is not so accurate.

Ori - 100%-75-50-25-0
Octopus - 100% ( very long time ) - 50% - straight battery exhausted. Lols.

fatnir, Get beercan + extension tube / raynox yo. It'll rock your sock.
*
mine are decoded fully.... the battery goes down 1% by 1% as u using it.... very accurate....

QUOTE(d4rkholeang3l @ Nov 12 2010, 11:18 PM)
the macro thingy is just a marketting strategy lar...

a macro lens can reproduce maginification up to 1:1

dis type of telephoto lens put macro oni, but it's not so Macro-ish

if you wanna try macro, try this combo..

Beercan  + Raynox 250

check back the previous few pages, master syukri posted some very nice macro pic from this combo
*
u r wrong... the macro is not a marketting strategy..... the magnification is 1:2 @ 300mm

Yea I know, but even for 3rd party batteries there're a lot of varieties, some are near the real thing and perform similarly while some are really and not decoded....

Anyways, I am studying in the UK, so everything would be so much cheaper if bought from eBay lol...
*
must make sure the word decoded is there and got ur model in the description...
