I got the Citibank GE position as well from Graduan....not sure whether I want to take it because its Retail Banking. When I asked the interviewer about commercial banking or global banking, she said that all fresh grads in Citibank have to go through 2 years of Retail Banking before they can ask for a change to the other divisions. Unless u're in the MA program la then can enter straight.

Based on the slide show they gave the GE has its on rotations within Retail Banking la....If the GE program is purely a sales position...vomit blood...

The pay is good so its damn tempting to take it...summore i heard contractual 2 months bonus and on top of that there's performance bonus....
I'm just afraid once go inside retail banking...cannot come out....start with such good prospects end up with a shitty outcome

I also got to the final round of BAT management trainee programme....have to go back Malaysia n interview with the director to the get job...

Damn crossroads man....go into industry or banking...probably will affect the rest of my life

haha.. oh really? i thought BAT went to sydney as well. anyways BAT was really competitive.. congrats kycha for making it to the final round, i didnt made it that far, but i am satisfied that i chose OCBC, cuz corporate banking is pretty interesting to get into smile.gif

I should have gone to the career fair to try to get the OCBC interview as well....sighs

The funny thing is when you go to the OCBC website, it says nothing about hiring fresh graduates.....only the MAP program for MBAs and Masters

I wonder how to enter from Malaysia

assistant manager is the entry level role, and everyone is an assistant manager, and almost everyone is a fresh grad... the pay is about there... as when i was there last time, there was baisc + 2 months contractual bonus... and now, i think they took off the contractual bonus already, thus the higher basic... which amounted to a similar sum...

Added on October 19, 2010, 4:01 pmoh, and there are a few levels for assistant manager, which are Q, R, S i think... if not then Q and R... so you will have to go from Q -> R -> S then only manager level T... something like that...

Finally! an insider

So do u recommend the GE program in Citibank?
After the GE would we be able to transfer to other departments or are we stuck in consumer banking?
