You people have a mentality problem, its either fake or real Lancer in your head. Talk as if Proton just copy and sell without permission. If you have a problem with Proton then stop typing in the forum and do something to make a change.
If you are a shame of Proton or Inspira then better don't buy Inspira or troll in this thread that bring no value to the discussion. Also if you prefer Lancer, go go go and buy it. Mitsubishi's SA will love to see you. |

I think firedauz should update the 1st page with the latest pricing details for those who want to get some information on the car. You can also go to paultan.org for the information.

You may be surprised that most Inspira owners do not want to change to Lancer bumper, badge or Evo X. I won't deny some may do it as they do prefer a more aggressive and sporty look. But then it would be okay to do so because ultimately its still a Lancer deep down inside an Inspira - nothing wrong in my opinion. Unlike those waja that attempted to convert to be Lancer or BMW (like those in your picture) look alike, which for me the taste and motif is much worse off.
QUOTE(burner @ Nov 11 2010, 11:40 AM) i wonder all the proud inspira owners can swear that will not remove their proton badge and adopt a mitsubishi lancer bumper or even attempt to convert it to EVO x. Buy forte if you think its good value for you. the same goes to vios, city and others. No need to condemn other people's decision. The money is ours and if we decide to support Proton and Inspira then so be it. This is not a Inspira vs XXXX thread.

I think they will try not to repeat the mistakes in Waja as that was on a different management and program altogether. But time will tell we will see improvements from Proton but so far they are on the right track.

No positive news will make peace with bashers, like they say, Jealousy is the best form of flattery. Here at Inspira, we have those fellas. Just reaffirm that our choice is the correct one.

I think when we see comments that are not directly linked to the purpose of this thread, we should stop replying and just let it be. Move on to discuss something more relevant than feeding the trolls that have no interest in this whatsoever.

Say you are worried, only if you are seriously planning to get one. Else stop worrying about other people's problem. If you believe Proton cannot be trusted then by all means stop supporting them. Besides, how do one confirm their car is 1st, 2nd, 3rd batch and so on? You are merely speculating. Open a thread at kopitiam and find your like minded people to discuss this in depth.

Even some of the most best selling and latest merc and bmw models are CKD. Dont be naive enough to think they bring in german people to pasang? These people are badge haters. Think we should put him at a corner and let it be.

I think Mitsubishi is well aware of the lousy quality local parts that Proton previously used in their cars for achieving higher margin purposes. Now the fact that Mitsubishi laid down the strict requirements for Proton to adhere to, I think Proton will be moving in to a better built quality product especially with Inspira. If Mitsubishi can give the go ahead for Proton to launch the car, meaning Proton has successfully fulfilled the contractual terms and we shouldn't be worried if the parts comes from Malaysia as our local vendors are equally capable of producing quality parts.
As for your swift, I personally would advice you to trade in for Inspira. Unless you like a small car to zoom around traffic and for easy parking. QUOTE(Amedion @ Nov 12 2010, 12:41 PM) |

I agree with you, 6 months is a reasonable period. If you are not in a hurry to get a replacement car then worth the wait to hear more reviews before deciding and who knows maybe you will have more car choices in another 6 months time.
QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Nov 12 2010, 12:44 PM) sorry dude... everyday i spend 2 hours in the jam going to and back from work... manual is not rational Added on November 12, 2010, 12:45 pm you asking me why proton don't hire me? your question directed to the wrong person dude... 6 months is a fair period... unless you expecting problem in the first 6 days, idiot... |

As a parts supplier to Proton, there is a contract signed between the 2 companies. Proton will have to commit a certain amount of parts that they will buy from the supplier at a certain price. So if these local suppliers have met the quality control and inspection of Mitsubishi's team then I don't see what is the problem of maintaining the quality in the long run as long as its from the approved supplier. I am sure if Proton were to engage a new parts supplier in the coming years, they will have to send a sample to Mitsubishi for inspection and approval. Mitsubishi will not want to be short changed and tarnish their image in the process of working together with Proton. This I feel somehow will make Proton improve.
QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Nov 12 2010, 12:53 PM) my budget only max 85k... cos got other plans for my cash... so far only forte, swift, vios e and inspira 1.8... nothing else... don't want city cos already have one... some times bad luck happens and if required to change gearbox like the earlier city owners (touch wood mine still ok)... kantoi liao... same like buying hybrid but don't know the price for battery replacement... I think 'garang'-looking because of the chrome linings is more imposing paired with the black coloured body. This car already designed in such a way that is already good looking overall, without much modification needed from proton to make it better
