You seem to be the only Lancer owner that is truly helpful. Thank you for the information and sharing them.

If that's the case, I think later buyers will have to wait a good few months for it.

Essentially, your personal review for the test drive will be based on your expectation you have for the car and how you feel about it. No need to be pressured to write like paultan smile.gif

No, you get EWP from your loan provider. Say the interest is 3.5% without EWP, if you opt for EWP just add 0.2% and it becomes 3.7%,

The cons of EWP is you have no choice but to service at SC only. And it has to be done on time & recorded each time, you may not skip or delay too long or else the insurance will not cover the claims.

Also if you have to claim a repair or replacement under EWP, insurance need to do a case study or investigation on before you are allowed to claim under EWP. Just like accident claims. My SA said he would advice us to pay 1st then claim it later or else repair/replacement will not be done. So its quite a subjective matter which I am not very comfortable.

As for me, SA confirmed that Proton is giving 3 years or 100,000 km warranty, I will take just that and after 3 years I would any time prefer my own and usual service centres that I can fully trust to do my servicing.

Added on November 13, 2010, 8:56 pmAre you going to cancel the purchase then?

After seeing the car, I really don't like the super cheap plastic at the door panels, the unsupportive seats and cheap leather. Very disappointed with the local content inside.

Part are expensive nowadays, and it normal to act funny or spoil after certain years. So be it ABS or gear oil or etc. If it has to be replaced then we dont have a choice, its a part of owing a vehicle. As they say, buying a car is easy but well maintaining it will be difficult.

That is why you need to find and identify a reliable foreman or mechanic in the 1st place. Would you say those in SC is all reliable? They just follow by the book, diagnosing a problem sometimes need experience with common sense. Besides, in SC you can't have any say as to whom can service your car. Each time you service it might be a different person. I would rather have 1 or 2 mechanic that is always servicing my car and knows my vehicle well. Just own preference but I am very particular when comes to this as I want to have a peace of mind driving my car.

even if its online checking system, it could still be manipulated. Just hope there ain't any insider job to let some people jump queue else I dont mind the wait if need PDI or what not before delivery.

Let's not worry too much before getting the car. If you spend your time worrying on something may or may not happen in the future then spoil the mood when you get the car, most importantly just enjoy the experience you have with the car.

now can view, thanks for sharing. Not sure if Inspira the car alone can do it, but with a skilled driver and practice, maybe it could. Maybe can ask our own alex yoong to try it out. wink.gif

people happened to just drive by some people and the new car automatically attract people to stare does not mean the owner trying to show off, besides the owner is not doing it on purpose, not sure why you felt that way?

I have just tested the 1.8 auto today, just a little underpowered under D, but the power kicks in when you go manual so its okay overall. I have no complaints except the rather compact boot space which I can understand because this car was initially designed for the sporty function not family vehicle.

However, this is surely one of the better (or can I say best) cars produced & built from a proton assembly line. I seriously can't wait for my 2.0 white car to arrive. After this test drive, I have erased all doubts that I've read about the hollow car door, platicky feeling, soft back seat and etc as I've tried, experienced and felt the car myself and am truly satisfied with it. Say what you want, I surely won't be disappointed with this "cheap Lancer" for poor people once its been delivered to me.

I forgot to include in my earlier short review that I find the noise level in the cabin is pretty quiet (I didn't go above 100km/h yet to know how that feels) provided you don't stress the engine for more power but even the noise produced when you floor the pedal is bearable and expected. The road noise is very minimal but you will hardly notice it as its a pleasure to drive.

I asked my SA about the tweeter issue, he said its there and its a 6 way system, so that doubt cleared away too.

Oh well, I actually tested the 1.8CVT but have booked the 2.0, so now I think my SA either answered me based on the model I have booked or he too is unaware of the mysterious missing tweeter and assuming its there. rclxub.gif

No tweeter for 1.8, that's confirmed, but not sure on 2.0 though.

I think we should stop all taunting and insults. Generalizing all Lancer owners in a bad way does not reflect any good to future Inspira owners too. Let's move on. icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(rewlie @ Nov 16 2010, 02:44 PM)
You are referring to all which is not fair, some Lancer owner are decent, not all, you based on car, not human itself, what car has to do with their owner behavior? Are you too butthurt because we drive first before you?
