Why all the words in BM words is copied from english 1? BM run out of idea to make their language unique ?

almost all the words are like direct translation, just change the C in front to K =_=

Well, English words are not all completely origin from English as well .. it does copy some from other languages.

I do speak Germany (Deutschland).. Actually the pronouncement and spelling for Deutschland and BM quite similar...
For instances :

Michael : in germany they pronounce same as Mikail in BM
Kite : Pronounce same as "Kite" in BM...
so if you want to learn Germany not that hard, within a year u can speak and pronounce very well...

well, in chinese usually (even brand name) they will maximized the used of the meaning of the word instead of direct translate it's pronounciations

in chinese, Microsoft is 微软 (wei ruan), 微= Micro 软=Soft

Television =电视机; 电=electric 视=vision 机=machine
Telephone = 电话; 电=electric 话= conversation
Computer = 电脑; 电=electric 脑=brain

etc etc....

Japanese they have 26 characters of Kanji that's borrow from Chinese languages

those you stated are Katagana, Television (become Te re bi), & 7-11 etc... are direct translate from the pronouciation, which doesnt reflect the meaning in Japanese. those that reflect meanings in the language will be written in Hiragana.

but what i;ve shown you is, instead of using chinese character to spell Te-Le-Vi-Si-En in chinese, they used chinese words to make up Electrical-Vision-Machine.

Bajet sounded as thou as "allocation" in a sense.

not relevant whatsoever.

Belanjawan: 1. perhitungan banyaknya wang yg akan diterima (sbg pendapatan) dan dibelanjakan, butiran ringkas anggaran pendapatan, dan perbelanjaan: menteri kewangan bertanggungjawab menyediakan ~ negara setiap tahun; 2. peruntukan wang utk sesuatu keperluan atau utk sesuatu jangka waktu: perdebatan mengenai perincian ~ kementerian pendidikan diteruskan hari ini.

not relevant whatsoever.

Belanjawan: 1. perhitungan banyaknya wang yg akan diterima (sbg pendapatan) dan dibelanjakan, butiran ringkas anggaran pendapatan, dan perbelanjaan: menteri kewangan bertanggungjawab menyediakan ~ negara setiap tahun; 2. peruntukan wang utk sesuatu keperluan atau utk sesuatu jangka waktu: perdebatan mengenai perincian ~ kementerian pendidikan diteruskan hari ini.

QUOTE(Joey Christensen @ Oct 15 2010, 10:07 AM)
Belanja sounded as thou as "treating" in a sense.

Bajet sounded as thou as "allocation" in a sense.

Just a thought thou...Personally, I prefer the word belanjawan.

the reason is..at that time, mahathir called it bajet instead of belanjawan.. so to avoid mahathir being criticized, DBP approved it..

Copying is kinda normal in language

English took some french words and now BM took english words

Simply because one have a longer history, just like how japanese adopted chinese words
