Price about the same.
One light. the other one bulky.
One not powerful enough. The other one enough power.
One claim to be freestyle. The other one not freestyle but you can make it freestyle if you know how. smile.gif

Should be. Why not you go to amazon.com and see review for both; compare. Then you decide.

erm. i would say depends on your requirement. if you are plan to breasfeeding while working, meaning working mummy, then suggest to get freestyle. as it is lighter, portable and small, and stylish. rolleyes.gif

remember, backpack requires total of 8 or 10 (cant remember) AA baterries in order to operate if you do not have the power supply, while freestyle comes with rechargeable battery. hope this helps. smile.gif

I am using medela freestyle. For me, the power is enough. I only use level 3 and 4. Maximum is lvl 9. I am very happy with it so far. Small and mobile.

I have pumped using medela symphony which is the big one, in the hospital and I don't find much difference in the suction.

This is only my observation. smile.gif

U can get it online or any shops selling baby item..not hard to get one smile.gif

Using other brand also can..but i've tried with Autumz..kenot. Coz Medela's abit bigger in size..

I am using the jingle jungle storage bottles. Connect straight to the pump. Even the caps I mix around. Fits well and economical.

If you can buy from places like amazon, US, sometimes can get free gifts as well, like big milk bottles, breast pads, the cream for nipple, etc...cheaper too.

Hi intanardy,

Just a suggestion, you can also store your bm in storage bags which are cheaper than bottles but can only use once. So far, I have not have to use frozen bm. Also, the bottles take up more space.

Oh, I actually bought medela fs from babies f us, US. I only paid like rm900 plus cause it was on sale at that time plus free gifts. I got my sister to send it over though. I figure I'll risk the warranty since the difference is a lot. Medela cannot be popular if it breaks down so fast....

I have been using it 3 to 5 times daily when baby was born but now, only 2 to 3 times since I dl. The only fault I find with fs is that the silicone valve thingy spoils fast if sterilised frequently.

Congrats, by the way smile.gif

I am confusing in getting avent or medela electric pump after reading the posts here.
Previously I was using spectra3 and now switch to avent manual pump. It was pain when using Spectra3, now feel comfortable with the avent manual pump but tiring since it is manually.
Seek for advice here whether to get avent or medela brest pump..
By the way, have anyone realised that the pump "neck" is shorter in spectra3 and longer in avent manual pump? The shorter "neck" makes my nipple pain a lot.. So now am looking for the same length "neck" as avent manual breastpump but in electric form.

Hi. I think I saw it once at one of the baby stores in 1utama but that was early last year. Not sure if they still have it. Sorry I can't remember the name of the store. Was just in town for a one day shopping trip. Baby shops in Singapore will definitely have as well as eBay, though you did specify Malaysia, hehe....

Why do you want a Doppler anyway? I read that they are not as clear as the ones in the clinics and sometimes, can't pick up the baby's heartbeat cause of the baby's position. Don't wanna pry but don't scare yourself if cannot find heartbeat. Heard it happened to some mothers.

Congrats and good luck. smile.gif
