QUOTE(tabs @ Nov 1 2010, 11:29 AM) any place got rpp for the maxis iphone? i go check it out many place must tire up with plan.. is that any place got it? As for my case, I purchased my ip4 32gb outright at e@curve last week. You can try there. But I don't know about the stock availability currently. But the attitude of MC staffs there is quite nice I've visited Pavilion MC before, and ask one of the staff, she insisted that no one can buy ip4 outright from Maxis (whose attitude is not good once heard that I wanted to purchase outright). So really, it depends on which Maxis staff you're asking, the right person will only allow you to purchase outright. A lot of MC staff will con you to sign into contract, claiming that no one is allow to purchase ip4 outright. But I'm now using ip4 with Hotlink 500MB/month. Good luck! Note that if you want to purchase outright with hotlink, either your hotlink account must be more than 1 year or else you'll need to buy a new hotlink number. And for the Sim card, the staff at e@curve helped me cut into MicroSim FOC. |

QUOTE(doom_eulogy @ Nov 8 2010, 03:03 PM) last friday my friend n i went to maxis klcc because my friend wanted to buy BB torch. really, this depends on the person asksince im there, i asked one of the staffs about iphone. he said maxis (im not sure whther maxis klcc oni or all maxis outlets) will bring iphone every morning with limited stock. so i go to the counter n i asked whther iphone 4 32GB is availble or not. that was 7pm think. and he said there is 1. so i said i wanted to buy the phone without the contract. the he said they cant sell it without the contract at the moment. if i want, i have to take the contract. so i didnt. im loyal to blue. hehehe.. anyway, does maxis klcc oni has this policy or all maxis outlets? anyone knows? the right person would allow you to purchase outright, otherwise only able to purchase with plan |

Please refer to DiGi website or other posts. |

QUOTE(JasonSoh @ Nov 12 2010, 09:00 AM) u misunderstood.. lol. i meant im a digi user.. so im planning to buy outright at klcc "with a digi simcard" oh ya haha some of the forumers said you can purchase outright, without even hotlink but i doubt you can purchase like that at KLCC, as there having queue every morning and limited stock don't think they'll sell like that currently, because they will give priority to people who wanted to sign plan... QUOTE(JetOfSang @ Nov 22 2010, 11:28 AM) Hmm, about the availability of the iPhone 4 without contract being sold "secretly", I am confused. Do they sell to you only if you have some sort of special code or very good convincing speaking skills? No special code, no convincing speaking skill; when I purchase, I just ask whether can purchase outright, and the staff said can, that's all. What you'll need for purchasing outright? Luck.I went to the maxis centre in Cheras the other day and they said:"Sorry, it is either with contract or you cannot get the phone."Of course, this is not exactly what they said. Perhaps it is about the location? I am a hotlink prepaid user, and what would be the price for the 32GB version? Or they only offer us the 16GB only? I had asked KLCC MC staff before, she said can outright but no stock; went to KLCC roadshow got stock but cannot outright; Pavilion MC staff said got stock but cannot outright; Wangsa Maju Jusco MEP staff said can outright but no stock; e-Curve Maxis staff said can outright and got stock so I purchased there. You need to ask staff who are higher level, those kelefe staff all said cannot outright one. And for the price for outright purchase is FIXED RRP, RM2290 for 16GB and RM2690 for 32GB, as well as FREE 500MB/month for 12 months for the hotlink account you used to purchase your iphone. Edited: Don't believe in any staff who claimed that can sell outright to you but need pay more than RRP, they are trying to con you and earn some fast cash perhaps! QUOTE(ruffyfluffy @ Nov 23 2010, 10:24 PM) Anyone had experience bought iphone from maxis without contract? Reason very simple, because a lot of maxis staff don't allow you to purchase w/o contracti called MC just now and they said walk in cust are allowed to buy the phone w/o contract. Just wondering why ppl sell ip4 maxis more than 2.4k if we easily can buy from maxis (even need to queue up early in the moning). DG only sells ip4 with contract. otherwise u are existing iDG plans.. Not everyone able to meet the right person who allow you to buy w/o contract Well, at least i'm one of the lucky person |

QUOTE(chickenriceboy @ Nov 29 2010, 11:19 AM) WOw..u are very patient...I had a not so good experience with Maxis, Being a digi user, i wanted to try maxis for a year using the iphone plan. I called Maxis Service center to ask which shop have availability of Iphones, they are offering a service for current maxis subscriber by asking for their details and inform them where to get the iphone. However the service stops at me..where i don't even own a maxis number. sorry to hear your story bro I went everywhere..Frm TTDI, to Curve, 1utama, most customer rep there in maxis seems to have a cocky attitude, telling me to constantly check with them by walking into any of the maxis stores...So blardy stupid ..who got the time to travel so far to every maxis center just to be told there is no stock....IM a potential Maxis customer and they treated me like dirt...like one of those Toyota dealers... After some frustrations...i called digi and they informed me that they do some stock check with their digi centres..and they told me to head off to digi SS2..as there are reportedly a lot of stock. I went there..take a number waited at 8.45am in front of digi ss2. Got into the 1st line ..signed up and got an iphone 4 16gb..it is that easy ..best thing 2 years of contracts ...pay rm 63 ..instead of rm 100 for a similar package.. in maxis. Sorry admin not trying to start a war ..just telling an experience from a potential maxis customer. The experience is so different from walking into a maxis store today anyway you still get your iphone 4 I also feel that maxis customer service is quite bad, like when ppl all hunting for iphone everywhere and they act quite lansi sometimes but of course still have some maxis center provide good services, i.e e-curve, which i personally bought my ip4 there BTW if i'm not mistaken, even you're existing maxis customer the call center will still ask you to travel everywhere to try your "luck" |
