Man...that one unlucky case....accident, a lot ppl died....

What abt if no accident because the bus went 80Km/h all the way......the penumpang will be cursing the driver....apalah...bawak slow sangat...lepas tu mahu berhenti selalu hisap rokok basuh muka kat R&R....serious, this kinda of comments are pretty norm with express bus passenger.

I bet there would be at least another one express bus related accident before end of this year

how about invent a system where it'll automatically off the engine if exceed the speed limit, and able to start the engine after one hour.

if exceed another speed limit, the engine will off for 1 hour increment biggrin.gif

Speed kills lah.

The bus going at 140km/h,tyre burst, sure lose control.

If going at say 60km/h,even if tyre burst,at leastlah still got more hope to control the bus and bring it to safety.

SO yea, they shud install limiters at 60km/h.

If not,we gonna have bus accidents year in year out.

The location is actually at this spot http://www.streetdirectory.com.my/malaysia...154633&l=8&s=sg

Some professor commented that many buses was modified to allow the vehicle to travel at higher speed but the break system is not cater to it.
Every time after a tragic accident, authority will fix that little problem then forget. then happen again.

Regulating the speed of the bus is not a wise move after all. It makes it even more dangerous. Just like driving down hill from Genting. It is not wise to put your car in Neutral gear. GPS tracking device will be a good choice.

Maybe this suggestion wasn't that good. The problem also lies to bus company , sometimes feedback will get ignore since both also involve together , remember last time where a bus driver got 80 plus summon but the bus company ignore them (bribe )

Anyhow , the other good way to fix speed limit issue is to lock the bus speed.Somehow someone mention it just now.
Just underclock the bus to max is 100km will fix it issue.

Second , is the police part , hoping no bribe for this issue , once a bus driver caught of speeding on the spot , terus gantung licensed for 1 month. 3 times gantung , and licensed get cancel + jail.

Third , passenger roll , giving tips will do.All passenger can rate them by giving tips to bus driver who is driving slow and steady during the trip.

Gov set rules , passenger can refund the ticket if they can prove the bus exist the limit 100km.

the government should pass a law to make it compulsory for the express bus companies to install gps devices with speed limiter on all the express buses in malaysia. they already have such gps in america.

Also australia and britain has been testing the gps speed limiter on their fleet of public transports and trucks and etc. Yeah ppl can say the gps signal can be jammed with signal jamming devices but at least majority of the buses will not exceed the speed limit. and on the issue of jamming devices that will be up to how efficient our authority can conduct impromptu checks on buses travelling along highways.

There have been a lot of accident of buses and fatalities this few years and nothin is done about it. Hope the gomen will do something bout it.
