'However, this does not apply to the general population, where no study has ever found an association between low-sodium diets and a reduced incidence of cardiovascular or other diseases. Average results from large study groups are not a useful guide to determine optimal treatment for a particular patient. A low fat diet can elevate cholesterol in some even though a mean decrease may occur in a population. An eight-year study of New York hypertensives found that those on low-salt diets had more than four times as many heart attacks as controls with normal sodium intake.'

One of the extracts.

This is exactly same as the cholesterol in eggs myth. Some of them are still perpetuating the myth that fact that too much eggs can harm you while most of us here still pop 10-20 eggs and believe that it isn't harmful. You CHOOSE what you want to BELIEVE and that closes your mind and makes you refuse to accept any other fact besides your own.

Have been training for the past 6 months, using a body part split program, i didn't have any prior experience before that. Not really happy with my progress.

So far, can bench 105lbs , squat and deadlift at 160lbs (bodyweight). Thinking of switching to a 5X5 program, like the one stickied in this forum. I am frankly quite surprised with the volume in the program. Any advice ? i am weighing at 71kg, 176cm btw

Tried Pendlay rows ? i kinda like them, i feel that it doesn't stress the lower back that much compared to normal barbell rows

Pendlays are crap. Seriously.

Why are they crap ? I find it easier to maintain a strict form with pendlays, it's hard , at least for me, to maintain the same angle throughout conventional barbell rows.

Hey guys,

I've not been around for a while now and I can't seem to locate the various supplement threads which used to be so conveniently available at the Garage Sales section. Any idea where to find them? Reyzai, Bata etc etc....

Thanks loads.
*
think they are at 'stuff for the lads' section, under street mart

EDIT: Food market ! sorry

To china dude and jasoc :

Hey, i would like you to close this tab right now. Stop lurking around here, go to your desk, and get yourself educated. If you feel like it, go do a few push ups, or run a few rounds. You won't be able to learn anything if you can't read/ understand.

I personally think it's easier for a fat guy to look massive, than for a skinny guy to slowly build up mass

This would be my daily diet roughly.

0800 hours: wholemeal bread with chicken ham and egg. Multi Vitamins and a glass of milk.

1000 hours: 4 wholemeal bread

1300 hours: some rice with either steamed chicken breast or fish. A bowl of vegetable soup

1500 hours: 2 wholemeal bread

1700 hours: 2 wholemeal bread

1730 hours: two capati and some curry mutton and a block of salmon

I take protein shake before and after workout. Is this diet alright?

When are you training ? What about dinner ? there's this big 14.5 hours gap between your last meal and your first

How do you take your eggs? I get that when I take em hard boiled.

Also you may have problems with your digestive system, get it checked.  Taking yogurt/vitagen, or even de-worming might help.

I eat whey, milk, eggs, tons of meat, TONS of veggies + fruits, have yogurt every night, and my farts still smell like rotten eggs

if according to Nutrition info on the side of bottle :
On Superior Amino 2222, only 2 grams in 1 serving (1 tabs)
Gaspari Amino Max 8000 = 8g
Dymatize SuperAmino 4800 = 4.8g

freaking big pills on AminoMax though....macam ibu jari kaki. haha  blink.gif

That's the amount of protein, not the amount of BCAAs. The BCAAs are included as a proprietary blend. Whereas for Xtend they clearly break it down into the respective BCAAs .

yea bro,ptpl,how you know
*
haha, coz that guy who tried to sell you is my friend (i think). Anyway scivation is that cheap because it has more WPC, compared to isolates. Some people argue about the virtues of wpi, but for students, i think scivation gives the best value for money
