I am just ranked sliver, but the match making system keep making me play vs ppl in gold or plati league. Those match was a living hell. The match making system suppose to pick ppl from my league to play with me? Right? Or is there not enough SEA ppl playing sc2?

Well, I'm in platinum in US server. I've been playing against ALL diamond players after the placement match which is quite ridiculous and ALL of them are favored and top 10 in their division. Well, i don't know how they arrange the match. But in SEA I'm already in Diamond so, no problem on getting to diamond in US also P/S : Quazacolt, I'm in Diamond already in US server. would it be alright to say that the system thinks the other guy may not be worthy in his diamond / platinum league, hence pit him against lower league players as a test?

This is funny. I was on a 4 losing streak. Then I won a game vs a 4 ranked gold player, after the match I was promoted to gold rank 5.. Weird..

Weird.. if the 4x player losing streak you faced are way higher players (MMR, or league is concerned) and your losing difference is not much, you're actually considered "gaining MMR" instead of losing. you may refer to the screenshot of me losing and yet promoted to diamond rofl. (yes, lost the game, not win)

For my 2s team we were gold league. Fought a team that says we were slightly favored to win, so we won that game and we got promoted to Platinum. Checked the profile of our opponent, they were silver team only.
So don't worry about winning better teams to get promotion. The system will promote you eventually as long as you play your games.
I've had friends who got promoted from Platinum to Diamond after losing 3 games to diamond players. Weird but true!

Weird but true! if u read TL's theory craft about MMR, all of these make sense lol... especially when u have some comp science background u can sorta picture out the whole algorithm behind it...
