Well, I'm in platinum in US server. I've been playing against ALL diamond players after the placement match which is quite ridiculous and ALL of them are favored and top 10 in their division. Well, i don't know how they arrange the match. But in SEA I'm already in Diamond so, no problem on getting to diamond in US also
