QUOTE(khairi83 @ Oct 6 2010, 10:10 PM) hi all, the review u read is true.want to ask something to all canon sifuu... eos 1d mark iv only can support ef lens? if ef-s lens how?? cannot?? i've read review about it...and most of the review mention that only can mount with canon ef lens... also, can this camera use with third party lens (sigma, tokina, tamron)? sorry if i ask silly question. i'm still new in photography and decide to jump to canon.... about 1d mark iv.....just question it....bcoz my friend decide want to buy it... some very rich fren...hehehehe only ef lens, not ef-s lens. as for third party lens, no problem at all. QUOTE(Michaelbyz23 @ Oct 6 2010, 11:10 PM) what do u mean still no problem? all third party has red dot, but not all designed for FF.. in this case sigma 17-50 is desgined for 1.6x crop sensor. autofocus still works. but as michael pointed out, there will be some vignetting at the wider zoom.if attached to 5d mark II, still can work, but will have vignetting. i believe if u mount this lens on 1.3x crop sensor, u will see vignetting as well but that is only for third party lens designed for aps-c. there are also third party lens dedicated to FF. more reading on how to create unique bokeh.
http://www.diyphotography.net/removing-the...rt-shaped-bokeh http://www.diyphotography.net/diy_create_your_own_bokeh QUOTE(khairi83 @ Oct 6 2010, 11:18 PM) bro, can u give some example third party lens that design to FF they are written in the lens name description.normal zoom...17-50mm for example?? thanks a lot for ur info. as far as i know, sigma fullframe lens is marked DG, (e.g. 24-70mm f2.8 EX DG) while sigma aps-c lens is marked with DC. tamron fullframe lens is marked Di (e.g. 28-75mm f2.8 XR Di) while tamron aps-c is marked Di II. |

every filter company like hoya, kenko or b+w has varying type of filters.
and usually the better the quality, the higher the price. |

QUOTE(ianho @ Oct 10 2010, 06:16 PM) Everybody needs to take a chill pill la. Professor ifer sharing knowledge with us is a good thing. I for 1, would actually pay to learn from him. Just hoping that he will accept a cheap cheap teh tarik as a fisherman like me can't afford expensive tuition fees. goldfries, this. It's only natural for a Professor to talk down to students n for students to look up to Professors. Mebe ifer is used to talking like that n that rubs the more experienced photogs here the wrong way. So if ur a more experienced photog, u already know the answer then nonid to get all aggro. It's good for the newer guys to learn from him. i must say uncle and goldfries is doing their best to let us understand the situation for all parties involved. |

QUOTE(ianho @ Oct 11 2010, 04:04 PM) I really don't believe it. Fella trying to gain reputation or publicity for his shop only I think. Always post n then few minutes later just simply say sold. U see the 5D2 has been sold again according to the last post looking at all his topic, his best selling items really gone in less than a day.and he didn't update who bought his items. anyhow, there is also a possibility that what he mentioned is true, however, i will give him a reasonable doubt. |
