Hi guys, I am planning to get Seiko Solar Chrono soon.

But there are some question bugging me before I purchase my first Seiko.

What if the model inquired from distributor mentioned not available in Msia..

But some other seller does have that model but claimed is genuine and valid for local warranty.
So, is the model applicable for local warranty or is it parallel import unit? Sounds fishy ler...

Any idea? Seiko fans

they probably guess that international warranty applies for grey sets, but thong sia would probably say it doesnt apply.
but if it is thong sia set, for the warranty card to be valid it will need to have the malaysia code 544S1 and of cos the dealer stamp on it.

That watch was launched in 2006 if I recall correctly and that movement has been replaced by the newer 6R21. I doubt you can find a new one for sale. Search it in forum sales thread?
Unlike 6R20, 6R21 was never brought in Malaysia by Thong Sia.
6R21 watches that looks similar to what you are looking for:
SAEC011
SDGC003
SARC017

Limited edition 6R21:
SAEC013

Can't read Japanese. Haha...

I know this watch is quite old but I'm just wondering if any shop is still carrying it?

Hi guys,

Stumbled upon this thread and thought maybe I can post my question here.

I am not good with watch terminologies so pardon me
I have a Seiko 7T920KR0 and funny thing is, until recently I noticed that the thin needle (usually the seconds needle on basic clock or watches, but on this watch it only moves when I start the timer and it shows the number of seconds lapsed) when I stop and reset the timer, it does not go back to its original positon at 12 but it rests at 10 instead.

Is this a signal/sign for something? Or is my watch messed up?
Anyways, do Seiko watches have any resale value?

I am already planning for another watch since my taste is 'maturing' and want something more 'sophisticated' looking. Furthermore this watch is a gift from my ex which I don't plan to use anymore.
Anything from Seiko with moon phase or the ones with half face and the other half which you can see the gears rotating inside?

Appreciate your feedbacks, thanks.
