ah, nice.. but that's also quite low compared to those retail shops. hehe. mine was by bidding on ebay. so i was lucky
downside would be that i wont be able to actually touch, feel and confirm the watch im buying. but im pretty comfortable buying seikos online i gotta stop buying seiko divers. damn. its such an addiction. |

QUOTE(zajun80 @ Oct 11 2011, 07:03 PM) hehe. that's why i love bidding. just try setting how much u wanna spend, bid. if you lose, nvm, there's always another one i got it from the seller "watchub". this seller is ok. altho i gotta top up 8USD to get express shipping, not a prob. seller is from SG..mostly the sellers like timeparadise, watchub, watches-us etc...all SG. Added on October 12, 2011, 9:06 am QUOTE(Alcip @ Oct 11 2011, 08:51 PM) Yeah...I've told you that you can get cheaper price from Ebay. Most of the sellers are from Singapore. hehe. addictive!! i almost got the skx007.. but i got the baby monster The best part is no tax from the kastam ekekeke... Added on October 11, 2011, 8:58 pmFluffy, you've got that right on diver's addiction.I bought 2 pieces in 3 months time,SKX007 and SKZ247.Love them classy look and lume. Got both from Ebay sellers... Added on October 12, 2011, 9:08 am QUOTE(zafrandbz @ Oct 11 2011, 06:20 PM) this baby monster the lume does last for quite some time, but its not as bright as the monster. sadly This post has been edited by fluffy6640: Oct 12 2011, 09:10 AM |

QUOTE(roonneo @ Oct 24 2011, 09:32 AM) Do you mean most of the shops in shopping complexes do not sell military seiko? As I heard from others the profit margin is low comparing to other seikos? Any owner can share their experiences? i personally have never seen any military style seikos, even the divers are rare, in malls. im not sure if u know of any of the "grey" market watches in and around kl. there are those old skool shops, i've heard, their prices are some what like on ebay.as for profit margin, im not sure if its small, but on ebay, they go very cheap. Added on October 24, 2011, 12:41 pm QUOTE(jonny4 @ Oct 24 2011, 09:38 AM) My Seiko's battery finally ran out after 6 yrs+ (never changed b4) a few days ago. Should I go to a normal watch shop to change batt or go to the official service centre Thong Sia ? a normal shop will do. its quite a routine thing. This post has been edited by fluffy6640: Oct 24 2011, 12:41 PM |

QUOTE(jonny4 @ Oct 24 2011, 12:48 PM) The last time I went to these regular watch shops to change batt they didn't seal the watch properly and water got in. But that was a Guess brand watch la. I really dun want anything to happen to my precious Seiko. it depends on the back cover. since its a quartz, im guessing it has a snap on back coveR? or is it screw type? hard to say how the previous guys did it, or was it the case fault, etc..but even u go to a seiko dealer, they'll do it for u there itself. i doubt it needs to be sent to thong sia lo. |

QUOTE(jonny4 @ Oct 24 2011, 12:59 PM) current Seiko is a screw type back cover. the Guess I can't remember. sorry dude, i've yet to change a batt on my quartz. hehe. still going strong Coz I was thinking that if I bring it to Thong Sia and if they screw up my watch, there will some kind of compensation. im just assuming. btw how much does these kind of batts cost ? not exactly maybe a price range. |

QUOTE(fariq_azad @ Oct 25 2011, 11:31 AM) hi, just found out that lowyat.net had a seiko thread. awesome watch Been using this seiko for quite a while now...and very happy with it. The lightest metal watch that I have ever owned. Introducing the seiko Titanium Chrono SNA139P (7T62 movt) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This watch is a keeper for me as 200m Water Resist versions of this watch is quite rare. What I like : Light as hell What I dislike : Titanium bracelet is a scratch magnet (I guess it to a military style cordura strap when I have the time) i contemplated getting this, then i found out the size, its a 38mm case right? too small for me This post has been edited by fluffy6640: Oct 25 2011, 12:03 PM |

QUOTE(jonny4 @ Oct 25 2011, 06:19 PM) Got the battery changed today at a regular watch shop. Was told that my watch's rubber seal is worn out but still ok...he applied some kind of "sealant" around the seal. HE advised me to avoid swimming taking a bath with my watch. it might be this. their grease. hehe.I'll probably go to Thong Sia to change the rubber seal soon. Anyone know how much would replacing a rubber seal cost ? ![]() |
