Yup, mainly is the GPU, if want to play games, better take the Asus..
The Inspiron 14 should have Intel HD, not GMA 4500MHD, but it still not enough for decent gaming.. |

i7 > i5, but only if your apps can utilize all the core/thread available in i7 Quad..
There's also i7 Dual core, i7 620M and i7 i7 Quad will produce more heat and also consume more energy, just keep in mind notebook with i7 Quad mostly would just last 2 hours with standard battery... This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Nov 29 2010, 09:59 AM |

Smooth and fast experience in a laptop that would be SSD upgrade since HDD is the bottleneck...
While faster compiling, video encoding, etc is CPU limitation... i5 is enough for most of the time, especially if concerning battery life as well... i7 Quad = consume lot energy Dedicated GPU consume lot energy i7 Quad + Dedicated GPU = bye bye battery life... |

Most 12-13'' now dont have optical drive, you need to buy external, should be around RM150...
13'' can consider Inspiron M301z, AMD K325 + ATi HD4225@RM1699 |

Intel Atom isn't really that enough for flash games.. |
