2GB RAM now should cost RM100,
As for warranty, would depends on brands... HD5470 is enough for dota and counterstrike... Better just get that Acer 4738G, considering the cost of ram + warranty, unless you can find 4820TG with that price (RM2300)... |

No, I mean it is good enough..
But still, 4820TG is still a better machine, if you can fit in your budget, then do so... This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Nov 23 2010, 12:53 AM |

Nope, no hybrid for those, unless you go for 4820TG....
So, the most likely the battery life is 3 hours top... That 4741G is old model, the 4738G has better value with the 4GB and 3 years warranty.. |

QUOTE(DoubleU @ Nov 26 2010, 12:12 AM) macbook pro. XPS 14 LCD display is apparently more awesome than the mbp display (anandtech review) and the speakers are also very good. and there's backlit keyboard.... specs is same as EA36 iirc. That one is XPS 15 with B+RGLED When do you need your laptop? you might wanna wait for a hands on with the XPS. The brush metal design is sexy QUOTE(mr.monkeykingbar @ Nov 26 2010, 12:18 AM) Basically the external outlook.. |

QUOTE(psan @ Nov 26 2010, 09:31 PM) 1. Brand - Any reliable brand (do all of them have international warranty? will be using it overseas) Better consider Asus U41Jf, i5 460M + nVidia GT425M@RM2999 since it got 2 years international warranty...2. Budget - Less than rm3000 3. Specs - For normal usage, lotsa multitasking! music, video, webcam, the occasional photoshop, video editing (maybe i'll finally be able to play sims3 w/o the entire laptop laggingg? :DDD) 4. Size. - 14''/15''? read lotsa comments saying acer 4820TG is good? is it the most value for money one? QUOTE(nickycheong @ Nov 26 2010, 11:11 PM) Is e build quality of the Dell inspiron 15r up to par with the acer 4820tg?? Like, if you had to choose either, which one would you go for? It just up to you, its 14'' vs 15'' with almost the same spec...Basically, I've got a budget of RM3,000, and my interests would be leaning towards gaming Any suggestions? Thanks! QUOTE(joeflizo @ Nov 27 2010, 12:26 AM) Hye, No more disc, now is recovery partition and you need to burn your own recovery disc...I just check my new Acer Aspire 4738G box after 2 days bought it. I notice that there is no ACER CD or any CD in that box. I assume the ACER CD must be given together with the new laptop right? Is it missing or it's a new policy? The laptop was the last stock (used as pameran laptop) available. I didn't contact the seller yet because already night. Just to ask here 1st. QUOTE(benleong2008 @ Nov 27 2010, 12:43 AM) I want a good looking, sleek laptop like the Asus U43JC (Bamboo Edition), i5 450M + Nvidia G310M. i5 460M is not slow, worth it or not, as you said, its the sleekness that you are paying extra for....Is the processor of i5 450 slow? At a price of approximately 3.8-4k, is the laptop worth the price? I've seen some laptop with the same processor priced at a much lower price. QUOTE(benleong2008 @ Nov 27 2010, 01:52 AM) The Acer 3820TG looks kinda sleek to me, will take that into my consideration. Do you know of any other laptops that have good specs and nice looking at a reasonable price? The i7 Quad is faster if your apps can use all the cores/thread....Is the ''Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 720QM : 1.6 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.8 GHz'' any faster than ''Intel® Core™ i5 Processor 540M/520M/430M : 2.53 GHz - 2.26 GHz, with Turbo Boost up to 3.06/2.93/2.53 GHz'' considering that the stock speed of 720QM is just 1.6ghz before overclocking. Anyone can clarify on this please? Btw the Acer Aspire 5943G looks really nice. QUOTE(kitloon @ Nov 27 2010, 11:04 AM) bro... i need to buy a laptop for my sister (standard 4). budget below rm2.5k. Need to bring it around ? netbook size or ?could any bro here recommend which brand and model worthy to buy? For standard 4..i think basic requirement should be okay for running learning software, online, microsoft office, facebook games...etc thanks... |
