QUOTE(SoulReaver @ Oct 15 2010, 06:36 PM) Actually Asus U35JC and U45JC caught my eye.. Love their brushed aluminium design. Sleek... Consider import Acer 3820TG from Singapore?I thought of going for the U35JC because being 200grms lighter.. I guess games like COD etc i need to set around medium config because of the laptop? |

QUOTE(mammypoko @ Oct 16 2010, 02:03 PM) may i know what the different between Acer 4741G, i5 450M + nVidia 310M and Acer 4741G, i5 460M + nVidia GT420M? GT420M is a lot better than 310M..better graphic card? It's good laptop for some office work and some game like assasin creed 2? sorry, newbie here For now, better opt for Acer 4820TG, i5 460M + ATi HD5650@RM2599 QUOTE(Ikhwan Aziz @ Oct 16 2010, 02:07 PM) Anyone can recommend me a good laptop? Acer 4820TG, i5 460M + ATi HD5650@RM@2599Any brand would do, Budget is rm4000(not a single sen more!), I'd probably be spending alot of time with photoshop, powerpoint, online games like TF2, L4D etc, watching alot of anime and shows, editing music videos, recording songs and editing them, watching youtube vids. Size? Not sure about size. Would bigger be better? Most of the stuff i watch aren't always HD or anything. And about the memory, would it be better if i got a external HDD to store my stuff or get a laptop with large space in it? Since my stuff might reach up to 500GB(probably more) in the future. And one more thing battery life. I'd like a to-be-able-to-watch-a-couple-of-hours-of-anime-before-the-battery-goes-dead kinda battery life. Thanks in advance! Btw, I live in jb and travelling up and down to s'pore isn't a problem. So maybe it might be useful. Somehow. or head down to SG and import Acer 3820TG, around SGD 1.4K for i5 460M + ATi HD5650... QUOTE(mammypoko @ Oct 16 2010, 02:17 PM) Brand : any type of brand Either that or Acer 4820TG,, i5 460M + ATi HD5650@RM2599Budget : RM2k - 3k Specs :Core i5 Size : nothing smaller than 14" mainly for studies and gaming purpose. Target to buy Acer 4741G, i5 460M + nVidia GT420M but don't know this laptop best for gaming or not. please advice. Thank you. or Lenovo Y460, i5 460M + nVidia GT425M@RM2999 QUOTE(Castreal @ Oct 16 2010, 03:03 PM) Will the 2GB A42JA GPU make a lot of difference with N43JQ's NV 425m? Nope, 2GB is simply overkill, even 1GB is more than enough.....Also I notice that N43JQ is mainly sold in US/UK, and of course in this forum. Having this said, most probably this model will not appear in the December's Pikom PC Fair right? So should make no difference if bought now? Well, by December, a lot new model might come up and have better spec/price compared to now... QUOTE(daron @ Oct 16 2010, 03:31 PM) Brand : any type of brand There's also Dell M301z if you prefer 13''...Budget : below RM2k Specs : anything better than netbook.. Size : nothing bigger than 13" mainly for portability for travelling and carrying around. Normal usage, most intensive is FB flash games and HD movie thru HDMI. Been looking at Dell M101z (better GC?) and Acer 1830TZ (better proc?).. seems like they are the best choice i have right now. But their price actually can get those higher spec like C2D P6000 14" but heavier as well. So, I am undecided now. Maybe there are others which i missed? Well, of course you can get better spec with the larger screen, but you lost more portability which is the major selling point of these 11.6'' notebook... Its depends which you value more for your money, power or portability.. |

Its more like they mean its has limited viewing angle, where you would start to see the image has inverse colour...
Could tilt until 120 degree.. This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Oct 16 2010, 07:12 PM |

QUOTE(daron @ Oct 16 2010, 10:57 PM) so m101z or asus 1215N (which i nearly forgot), which one is better since both similar pricing? i think asus 1215N still is using the Atom platform although it's dual core.. Processor wise, U5400 should be better, but GPU wise, HD4225 should be better...is acer 1830TZ not that good with its U5400 proc? i thought that is the most powerful for its range.. so i guess it's between m101z, 1215N and 1830TZ right for similar size and price? 1215N wise, it still using Atom, so better go with either the other two.. |

Its easy to replace the HDD, you just need to open the base that close the battery, the hdd is just beside the battery.
If not mistaken, its not Radiance... Did you checked its resolution? If its 1600x900 then its Radiance display. |
