QUOTE(angel-girl @ Oct 4 2010, 12:41 PM) so far it's ok..but long term consequences not yet known...nevermind i will stick to it and report back..nvm we still have our friend samsung SC...for a year long..hehhe... but after using this phone for 5 month..i think it's safe..because from my experience previously..if i done something not right to my phone..it will show immediate effect..its like toying with your computer then.. QUOTE(Here-I-Come @ Oct 5 2010, 09:20 PM) i think using Kies to upgrade will be much easier and safer bet if we dont have much time to explore those rooting stuff right? upgrading new FW doesn't need rooting..just FW, Odin, and a lot of courage (for the first timer)but read before do it will help you a lot.. |

QUOTE(leonardtan2 @ Oct 6 2010, 02:01 AM) Yeah..i come from a Symbian base phone. Nokia E72 to be precise. So this papago or if there are any other applications ..is it free navigation? something like ovi maps? Paid for application but when navigating is free ? Cause i travel to alot of places alot. And is this model suffering from GPS issues ? Oh and applications....are they as many as Java based? And may i know the latest price for ori and AP set ? Thx there is also ndrive...papago is a paid apps..but not using data charge during navigation...about gps issue not all sets is affected...but it has solution..of course it's human made error..and can be fix..fyi android apps is second to apple apps..u do the math!!..about the price maybe u can browse tu garage sales for AP prices..ori set can get from maxis for RRP 2599 but u can choose contract for 1 or 2 years..for 1 year the phone price will be rm1699... QUOTE(ameeru_aniki @ Oct 6 2010, 08:04 AM) GPs (non data using) - papago x5 n ndrive. wwhich one is better papago or ndrive...papago seems to be have very little menu to use to compare to garminPapago is actually free, cause the map is from malsingfreemaps team..u see register/yrial at the start of the app. press trial, n u still get to use it..... Ndrive- latest version (10) is paid....... But the previous version... Well u guus know. ;p |

QUOTE(ameeru_aniki @ Oct 6 2010, 08:56 AM) about the same i guess.... i read somewhere in garmin forums that looks like garmin will not make garmin apps for other android platform except for linux based G60...i'm hope some garmin will rethink about that because android is on the move right now!!but when it comes down to maps... i prefer papago as it uses maps from malsingfreemaps team. that is why i prefer garmin.... in which not available for sgs yet..... |

QUOTE(Jason @ Oct 6 2010, 10:55 AM) Garmin won't make it available for iPhone or other Androids, as they want to make sure their Garmin Asus Phones sells... otherwise no more unique selling proposition for their own branded phones.. oh snap!!!...thinking on the bright sight...googles will not permit garmin overcome their Gmaps tho' not going to happen, somehow XDA has been blocked from re-engineering Garmin (i don't know why considering everything XDA do is technically illegal e.g. hacking the firmware) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...980&postcount=5 |

i'd notice after i installed both lagfix on my set ( voodoo n OCLF ) my phone tend to freeze a couple of second before its proceed when i opened up a page..not happen to apps tho'..mostly happened during i opened up setting, manage application, contacts, messaging..but it'd happened for the first time..after i close and open again..it will open up in a instant...
my finding about using double lagfix |
