set your phone usb connection to ask on connection..once u plugged in you micro usb to your pc..a sound will appear..and go to your phone..drag the notification down..and select copy file to/from your computer...ur pc will install the necessary drivers...then you should able to transfer the csv contacts to your phone then..

jg4 is slow catching up the satellites....try apps GPS status or GPS test on market...before u use navi apps...search for satellites using this apps i mentioned before..once u got the lock up...close those apps and open up navi apps..it should be able to connect....or use voodoo lagfix...it will improve your gps locking time...

nope...just use free apps from market i recommend GPS test or GPS status..get this apps to lock down the sats..once it is done..close apps and open papago..your papago will lock faster because it'd saved the previous gps data from last application....

it main purpose is to counter lagging issue in SGS...but also it can improve GPS locking time...applying voodoo will void your warranty...but there is ways to undone it..please read in link i gave to you...in FAQ sections..

other method to counter lagginess probs is install One Click Lagfix...search it in market..hope this info will help u a lot..

maybe because of the RFS file system that samsung used...so far this type of file system that wrecking the device...

for those on eclair 2.1..i got alternativemethod of restarting your phone in recovery method instead of using 3-button combo...(cannot applied to sets that recovery mode disabled by default)..

1) search for one click root and download it ( also in xda..i forgot the link..hehe)
2) extract the zip file and put it on you computer ( e.g desktop)
3) in the folder delete the root.zip file
4) set your SGS on to usb debugging mode
5) connect the micro-usb to your pc and mount your SGS to it (just drag the notification bar and select copy file to/from
6) copy the update.zip to your phone e.g /sdcard
7) run the one click root software and select one click root 2.1
8) wait for the cmd windows to pop-up and then you can see you SGS will restart in recovery mode
9) use volume up/down on your SGS navigate to apply sdcard update.zip and press home button
10) wallllaaaa..

useful to those who always using update.zip to mod their phone...like me..hehehe..cheer...hope this will help a lot..

sometimes people misunderstood between recovery disabled by default and cannot go into recovery mode by trying 3-button combo..the latter is ofkos because human error puhing the button..i gave previous tips to those faced the second event..not the first one..for the first one u need to try fix to enable back the recovery menu first and then try my alternative method..

i have no idea how to determine a set that have been disabled by default...maybe someone call tell me how..previously people said second batch of SGS have this setup...using 3 button method to determine this problem seriously cannot get result because ours finger don't syncronise well enuf..hehehe...mine's trembling..not Parkinson's disease tho!!!!!

hxcpride..that's i don't know how...maybe someone can enlighten us about that.. ... the method i gave was for those who are :

1) too lazy too push 3 button combo..
2) tried 15 times pushing button and 1 time succeed
3) afraid to see their volume rocker falling down after dozens time doing that..

hahaha..

i afraid cannot oso..u must use the fix to enable back the 3 button combo..search for it in xda or this v5 or v4 thread..i forgot sorry..someone posted the link earlier..

somebody who have knowledge or faced this problem before and tried this method please correct me if i'm wrong..
