hi all
i already read this thread from start...
now i want to buy a new hp because my phone keypad completely remove because i am heavy texter....
currently i use samsung sgh-e650...i buy it early 2007...
this g5 model really attracting me because it is in my budget and small....
because my hand small but i like a big keypad...i don't like typing using my nail...i typing with my right thumb only...
so this model virtual keypad it is small or big???
now i comparing with nokia 5530...
i need gps, wifi, document reader like word&pdf...
i read some review say this model lack in camera spec...
it is really poor or medium sharp??? how about the resolution???
for me if medium sharp is ok compare cmos 0.3 that i use right now...
and also i don't see any review about batery life time...
can u guy review about that???
i really need long batery life time at least 4 days...
nokia 5530 lack on battery when only can stay for 2 days for normal use
but have advantages in camera spec...
g5 have advantages in technologies...like capacitive touch screen and android os+600Mhz cpu...it really great combination that solve hang or lag problem for beginner smartphone and also cheap price...
i also read about g3...what u guys think when compare g3 and g5?
i read it have better spec in cam and also application...
it is truly will not sale in malaysia???
maybe next week i will go kl to buy a new phone...i need ur opinion to make my mind what model to buy.
i just survey fo this model
1.g5
2.g3
3.nokia 5530
4.nokia 5800 nav
i hope ur guys can help me...
i new hear...and first time to use smart phone...
so i really noob...
i dont know hack or something to setting the application of phone...
so when i want to buy i need to know what application that will given or some additional program that i need...
because i will go there for 3 days...
after that if i have problem...it will difficult to go back...
my area don't have samsung center...
i hope i not burden u guys to answer all my question...

I believe there is difficult to use right thumb only for touch screen phone (all touch screen phone)
the battery for G5 consider good, but still unable stand for 4 days, unless you did not make calling, smart phone is consuming battery fast (because the CPU), in term of battery, G5 might better than 5530 a bit, cos 5530/5800 really sux in battery, charging everyday needed
G5 camera is not sharp since it did not come with autofocus, but it still much much better than 0.3MP camera
some sample taken yesterday (outdoor only, without any edit)

Thanks for the guide but how do I integrate my current contacts with their fb status and all?
Another thing is, i installed papago, but how do i transfer the maps to the phone as it says cannot read from card?

You need to select UMS during connection to PC, dont choose KIES

Hi,
Does anyone know how to search the contacts list when composing new SMS message (in "Messaging" app)? I've tried but I can't seem to be able to get it to search my contacts list - the only way is to go to Contact and create SMS through the "Create Message" button.
Doesn't make sense that the Messaging app is not smart enough to search the contacts list. Am I missing something?
Thanks.

Use 3rd party sms apps, "Handcent SMS"..........
stock android sms apps is sux, maybe google only like email instead of sms

my g5 unmount my external storage itself!! restart doesn't solve but later i remove back cover, remove & re-insert the memory card then it detected & mount it back for me...
seems like hardware problem....
