1st time here.

Initially wanted to buy G5 also, went survey in Penang market back in Aug. YOU CANNOT FIND 1 also.
Finally found 1, selling at RM699. Anyway, i long time knew that moon & alien is selling cheap here. What for buy expensively from stalls?
haha

Anyway, i turned myself to HTC Legend d. Bought a 2nd unit with a very very very good price. You cant guess at all. haha

Overall G5 should be a very good Andrid for its price. (I like to call Android mobile as Andrid tongue.gif)

I am using HTC legend. It happens the same to me.
I think its Papago issue.

QUOTE(silentser @ Sep 29 2010, 02:08 AM)
699 is the ori price for this phone, maybe the memory card you get is a good one. i bought from pda expert a very reputable store. 699 i get 4gb  transcend brand memory card (that guy open the package right infront of me), with capdase screen protector (rm35/38 last time i check at shop). so 699 very worth it. rm630 maybe come with 2gb memory of dont know what brand, and with china screen protector
*
Penang selling price is RM699 also. With the standard 2Gb Micro SD.
However, can anyone confirm which Class are those bundled card?

i use old sim card...that not support for 3g...(upax celcom) because don't have any 3g symbol at my sim card compare to my mother sim card that have 3g symbol...
if i mistaken ples correct me...
*
3G is only needed when you need a wireless connection via mobile operator (i.e. Digi, Maxis, Celcom)
Be very aware not to activate your Wireless Connection if you did not sign up for unlimited internet package, you'll be crying when the bill comes.
Just use Wifi la....Its free.

Anyway, I'm a Legend user, but going to get a G5 soon for my gf.

Papago satellite issue is common. Even in Legend. Wonder if all these 'Smartphone' GPS are weak? Or Papago?
Haha biggrin.gif
Anyway, the direction is not very accurate compared to my standalone Papago. It sometimes tend to SESAT jalan by itself.

*
It is very possible. Just make sure that the VPN settings are correct.
There was once when i use my SE K610i with a broadband sim card, my device is turned into a HSDPA modem. tongue.gif rclxms.gif
You can always just try as it will not harm anything.

smile.gif eventhose it has no dedicated key for camera, but you still can use the big physical key (the black middle one, with the direction key) to capture, i never use touch screen to take photo

amoled? Galaxy 5 is low end model, dont talk about amoled
Amoled device will cost you RM2k above like Samsung Galaxy S and HTC Desire, below 2k you cant get amoled

*
My HTC Legend is using AMOLED screen.

brows.gif Android market has no paid version's games?
Want the full version game with free?

Here the market you looking for...........so guilty

This market open up the paid version games and apps.........all free
(note:not all games compatible to Galaxy 5
it wont affect the stock Android market)

Applanet Market
*
Tried that, the Applanet screen keeps loading. Like it cannot detect anything from its own market.

Can you guys play Quake3 and Armageddon Squadron? Or any other 3D game?
*
I think 3D game is not playable as it does not have a GPU embedded.
Games that support QVGA reso shouldn't be any problem.
