Then I guess Ramires will be starting against Sunderland. I'd like to see Ancelotti put youngsters like McEachran to starting though.

QUOTE(madfag @ Nov 13 2010, 06:23 PM) i think that ramires is more of a defensive central midfielder. from his videos, it seems that he attacks quite often during his time in benfica and brazil, but im not seeing any of his attacking magic for us. More like restricted by the tactics IMO. Mikel was also a attacking midfielder before he came to us and now he's our Mikelele in the making. BTW, only Arsenal and us playing tomorrow. Let see how other teams gonna perform tonight. This post has been edited by Belphegor: Nov 13 2010, 08:07 PM |

QUOTE(madfag @ Nov 14 2010, 02:28 AM) i think the perfect DM would be a DM that can regularly make a good long pass forward. if Mikel can combine makalele's defensive abilities with alonso's long passing range abilities, we have the perfect DM. When Essien is out, Mikel fit in just nice. He's tall enough to have the vision so he can deliver long ball, buff enough to stop the players when opponent organizing counter-attack. Although not as good as Alonso and Makelele, but I'm quite confident to say he's going to be the combination of both in near future. When Essien missed out during Liverpool game, Mikel did what I've been wanting; Ballack's long ball style. Provide ball from our half to our attackers. |

Mikel urged to quit Chelsea. Wouldn't stop him if he want to. It's up to him now who he want to impress.
Today's lineup; Cech Bosingwa-Ivanovic-Terry-Cole Ramires-Mikel-Zhirkov Anelka-Drogba-Malouda This post has been edited by Belphegor: Nov 14 2010, 02:36 PM |

QUOTE(bigbangformula @ Nov 14 2010, 03:54 PM) Lol that's stupid..just because he's not scoring any goals,he's not playing well? His national coach want him to quit Chelsea because he's not playing in his regular role. He was an attacking midfielder before he come to Chelsea, just like Lampard or Zhirkov. But now he's restricted by tactics Ancelotti imply. He might as well quit the national team..with a coach like that telling him to leave to another club when he's playing this well |

QUOTE(Kerplunk @ Nov 14 2010, 07:46 PM) his national team coach can stuff it. if he's all hung up about mikel being changed into a different player, calls for him to quit chelsea should've been made when mourinho first started assigning him that DM role. he's gradually rediscovering his attacking instincts (and improving as an overall player, if i might add) under carlo, so the timing of this sudden outburst is absolutely ridiculous. Of course his national coach didn't realize when he was restricted from his original role, he emerged into a tough-to-beat defensive midfielder in BPL. Sad to say he's kind of blind LOL!QUOTE(jenglots @ Nov 14 2010, 11:38 PM) Yes! Wait wha- |

We played great. Bardsley and Bramble totally control the defense line, leaving no balls to go through. Gordon was fantastic. We had alot of composure and our strikers are really good. Onuoha totally outclassed Malouda and Zhirkov, controlling our right defense well. Zenden was all around the field today, Gyan was awesome, Welbeck was disrupting opponent's defense like nobody's business. Opponent's defensive totally screwed up especially when Terry and Alex is not playing.

QUOTE(bigbangformula @ Nov 15 2010, 02:05 AM) Kinda. I can accept excuses like "It's just not our day", but I cannot accept this. I'm speechless with the performance. Ancelotti should have given a chance to Bruma instead of putting Ferreira as CB. I won't blame Ferreira doing the mistakes because he's just not a bloody natural CB for christ's sake and therefore I'm not putting any blames on him when he totally leaked out the second goal. (Look for Ferreira before the ball reaches Gyan) First goal didn't watch so can't really say anything. Cole's mistake, expect him to clear but he back pass instead and causing more misery. Ancelotti should have faith on our academy by putting some youngsters instead of slotting seniors into the position they're not familiar with. As for Ramires, hoping him to eat more. Records broken; Cleansheet @ home First loss @ home this season Steve Bruce's first victory against Chelsea (including other clubs) First loss in 14 meeting between Chelsea and Sunderland On the bright side, we still top. QUOTE(enix2000 @ Nov 15 2010, 02:13 AM) Didn't watch the game so can't really comment. But IMO it's the worst game so far. This post has been edited by Belphegor: Nov 15 2010, 02:18 AM |

QUOTE(Kernkraft400 @ Nov 15 2010, 02:23 AM) & to top it all off, Darren Bent isn't even on their first eleven, nor he was on the substitutions bench . Thanks for pointing out. I felt there's something missing in Sunderland. QUOTE(plokoon @ Nov 15 2010, 02:24 AM) I dunno bout you but there's this pessimistic aura in here. QUOTE(boxsystem @ Nov 16 2010, 09:23 PM) What's with Terry's injury anyway? Terry's injury not tiba tiba. He's been playing in pain since end of last season and he managed to play through it. But now the pain is getting worse so he decided to find the problem and solve it once and for all instead of playing through pain again.Tiba-tiba only? On Ian Wright's article, some of his points are valid but most importantly, the club is Roman's and people tend to forget that. He can do whatever he likes, no? About Ian's article, he do have some FACT and VALID point. He did bought Shevchenko without Mourinho's consent, hence the broke down of the relationship. Now we wait this piece of news goes cold, then some reporters will post up Wilkin's sacking reasons. Hopefully we can find someone to replace Wilkins ASAP. |

Since both of our main towers are gone, I really hope that Bruma gets the chance since he's our only natural CB after Ivanovic and Ferreira's performance against Sunderland just not convincing enough.
Injury list: Alex (6-8 weeks), Terry (Uncertain), Essien (2 weeks suspension) , Lampard (2 weeks), Benayoun (3-4 weeks) So at the moment our best lineup for our back 4 would be; Bosingwa-Bruma-Ivanovic-Cole. Now this injury crisis got me thinking, should we summon Mancienne back to Chelsea? Brace yourselves guys. It's going to be couple of rough weeks for us. EDITED: David Luiz to cover up back 4 as Chelsea seeks replacement. This post has been edited by Belphegor: Nov 17 2010, 01:27 PM |

Kranjcar going off cheap from White Hart Lane. Personally I admire his composure and mentality. He could be useful for us, plus can be Lampard's successor.

Of course not. And plus he's not properly utilized if you ask me. :/ Adam Johnson could be a bargain buy as well since he's looking forward to leave Citeh next transfer window. Can boost our home ground player count and can replace Lampard in years to come. Of course if Johnson comes I don't want Kranjcar anymore.
