Awesome. This playbook after paired with bb phone and keyboard it's like entertainment hub + email + bbm + social network + media center and a mini computer!

BTW the keyboard can just be easily paired using bluetooth? Only apple keyboard? Other bluetooth keyboard can?

Wahhh awesome. If all/most android apps are supported without the need to wait for the developers to submit the app to appworld, this is the tablet I want... I like playbook's specs and look but I like apple's apps T___T

Anyone know where can I buy original/good quality OEM charger for playbook? I see playbook's charger output is almost double the bb phone charger, so I want to get it and charge my bold faster...

Other than crackberry and ebay, any local sellers?

Guys I might get a playbook middle of the year... I heard if want to install android apps directly from android market (now google play?) need to jailbreak first? OS 2.0 can be jailbroken already?

And last time during OS1.0 I heard rumour that only one android app can be run at the same time, but I saw a vid of jailbroken PB can run android market + dolphin HD browser (android ver) at the same time... Any one mind enlighten me?

Got it, thanks... But how about running a few android apps at the same time? Possible?

And erm I heard playbook cannot type chinese?
My tablet must be able to type and display chinese/japanese and korean.

Guys if I bridge my phone to playbook, does it mean ALL apps in the playbook can use the internet connection of my BB and under BIS? Or only limited to browser or certain apps?

EDIT: Stupid me, I thought I can have free internet under BIS. So it appears that blackberry bridge only connects the phone with playbook for stuff like contacts, BBM etc but no internet sharing. Internet sharing still needs tethering which is not covered by BIS. If I use a prepaid BIS plan (no streaming/tethering) then I cannot tether on Playbook.

Someone can clarify for me?

EDIT2: nvm, read here http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-pl...er-free-708561/ and all under BIS!

i dont owned a bb phone .. can't help u with that .... but my advise is to directly ask your telco
*
Don't reply if you don't know anything -____- Malaysian telco is useless, they'll say OH TETHERING IS NOT IN THE PLAN! PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO OUR DATA PLANS FOR PLAYBOOK~

I just confirmed during bridging the internet is under BIS.

does anyone tried jb or so call root yr playbook?? mind share yr experience...does pb reli can run android apps??
if can will plan to grab 1....thx a lot smile.gif

Only playbook OS 2.0.0.4869 or below can be rooted, but latest is .7971 and cannot be rooted. if u want to root, don't upgrade to 7971. upgrade to 4869 and use dingleberry to root.

PB can run android apps WITHOUT being rooted, either download from app world (developer submitted) or sideload the converted .bar files (just google how to do it).

I found this quite cheap in taobao website (a china ebay-like website), might order this. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=1567116..._4z3_1562027198

Renowned brands like otterbox, incipio are good but hard to buy because of expensive shipping fee... Sigh

Getting my playbook soon but should I upgrade to 4869 (so that can be rooted) or 7971? any advantage of 7971 over 4869?

I will update to OS 2.0.1 (or 2.1) when it's released...

Maybe first you should just come clear about why do you wanna root your Playbook in the first place, so it will be easier to decide.
*
I like to tweak my playbook, going to try the usb on the go function etc. Though it's not a priority, if the latest OS is better than I'll update to the latest 7971.

Guys,

I have 2 concerns here, would appreciate if you guys can assist

1. When I remove an app from Playbook, it gone instantly without any reboot unlike BB phone. Is the delete consider completed?

2. Any special key or process to clean up logs or clear up memory?

Thx
*
Actually there's a way to clear RAM without restarting, just open around 8-10 native apps at the same time, (dont open too fast it will hang) then after that close all. After you closed all you will see the RAM increased back to 400-500mb.

Just updated to 2.0.1. Browser is so fast now, loads fast even in bridged connection instead of wifi. Great update.

It's not the browser speed, it's the stability, less checkerboard when scrolling, no crashes, loading speed on bridge is very fast.
