Just got the Playbook, surprisingly the Bridge Browser work better than I thought, even can playback YouTube video in a webpage, unlike iPad which need to go full screen to view video.
Like it. Now can't wait for OS2 This post has been edited by clieman: Feb 1 2012, 12:04 PM |

Free ebook like Android or iPhone, no. Minor gaming - Can't match iPad or Android for quantity of game. Movie - Excellent. Can play 720p video. Flash - Yes. Can play flash game as well. For FB addict you can even play FB flash game. Turn based game works great (Mafiawar, Farmville etc) Low budget? Yes. RM1199 for 64GB. See link about in my post. Way cheaper than Android and iPad. New DM7 has been released.
It should be followed by BB Bridge. Then you'll see OS2 |

Sync engine has changed in DM.
Look like a difference sync engine in order to support OS2 for Playbook. Added on February 15, 2012, 1:48 pmIf you cannot sync with your BB after install DM7. First do a one way sync on your contact. There seems to have some problem converting old sync info to the new engine. This post has been edited by clieman: Feb 15 2012, 01:48 PM |

if you don't plan to copy all your movie into it then it is enough.
OS2 support MKV playback so you can copy your 4GB MKV file. So 16GB is not enough |

QUOTE(lp16 @ Feb 22 2012, 10:50 AM) Maybe you shd do that. My update was fine, in fact I found it better that prev OS. Now, I need to know why I can't remotely control my PB. Izzit only for newer phones with new ver BB Bridge? I'm using 9700. I have no problem remote controlling the Playbook on the 9700. Try battery pull on the 9700.Added on February 22, 2012, 1:11 pm QUOTE(skeelee @ Feb 22 2012, 11:29 AM) With the Bridge, I never find a need to have a native mail client. In fact, I truly believe that RIM is right in the first place not providing a native mail client because the Bridge solution is elegant and sufficient, for BB phone owners at least. I use it to sync Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin account only. Now that native mail is here, I set it up nevertheless, but now receive two notifications for the same mail. If I read the bridged mail, the native mail will later take notice and cancel the noticication. However, if I read in the native mail, the bridged mail will never find out. This is too troublesome. RIM gives in to what the market demands and provides a native mail client, but I think it is only good for non-BB phone users. What's your take? For GMAIL just sync my contact and calender. I don't mess with my email will multiple devices. This post has been edited by clieman: Feb 22 2012, 01:11 PM |
