Can't access my Gmail webmail using the PB browser, it just closes whenever I sign into www.google.com/mail. Anyone having the same problem?
I now resort to using Dolphin Browser.

No problem at all in my Pb browser. Working well in SimpleBrowser+ as well. Clear your cache and cookies, close the browser and open again. Then try again see if it works now

You can play MKV, make sure the codec of the MKV is mpeg4 and the audio is NOT AC3 (aac/mp3 is okay).

And btw you can use MovieSRTplayer in appworld to play video with srt files.

Sorry, but how do I make sure that the codec is mpeg4? My OS is latest.
*
In your computer, open the mkv using Media Player Classic, and go File > Properties.

You can see what video codec it is using. Usually the audio codec is the problem because many mkvs are already using mpeg4 but they use AC3 audio which is not supported by PlayBook.

You need to convert the audio part of the mkv to aac/mp3 using softwares like avidemux. If you are not good in this you have to do some research..

my playbook cant on again.. 3days already... battery drain again... sad.gif
the battery cant charge again.. cannot suck power from charger..

tension la... how to solve this matter? anybody help me? sad.gif
*
keep charging it for hours then only try to turn it back on... Charge it even if the LED or screen won't come back, just charge

Or maybe you can look here if any method work for u http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-ta...bricked-722558/

QUOTE
3. If you Battery is DEAD and won't charge...

- DO NOT PLUG it into your computer (see #1 above)
- DO PLUG it into the wall charger a few minutes, then UNPLUG...
- Do the "reset" either hold Power only,
or Power+Volume Up+Volume Down for 10-15 seconds (while not plugged in)
- Plug into wall charger again, see if charges. If not, unplug, let it sit a few minutes
- Then plug in again, and repeat previous 2 steps.
- You may get NO blink at all, or Red Blink with 5 Flashing Green... Keep repeating.
- Eventually will show Red blink for a long time, then green/orange showing charge.
- Avoid booting up Playbook for a few minutes as it will draw power again...
Let it charge. After some time you can boot up and then let it sit in
standby while charging.

If the RAM also upgraded to 2GB then good, but too bad still 1GB.

Because now the bottleneck in my playbook is not processor but the RAM. Opening 2~3 android apps with one native app will start having some small lag.

I heard that RIM pulled back the update because some people complained having problems. But many said it is better.

anyone tried KalemSoft Media Player version 2.0?
*
I bought and tried... can play AC3 codec and flv etc well. Some rmvb works some don't.

I tried an 1 hour video with AC3, the video lags but when use AAC no problem... i think they have to improve on AC3 playback support. It can play HD videos as well like the native player.

Ermm and flv with too high bitrate it won't play. Subtitle support is good though.
