Maybe they meant Maemo6 aka Harmattan, rebranded as the 1st MeeGo device from Nokia?
*
Could be because MeeGo for ARM & Moorestown got some difference.Obvious 1 is the support for the X86 instructions.

Managed to get bits of info on PR 1.3 leaked version

Maemo Talk! 'According to the konuşulanlara PR1.3 Week 36 version was leaked to the Internet. FLASHING leaked version of the device need to set up, yet for some, this is not the same as the final version.

Leaked version file name, the RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin 36.cı week confirms that this version, you probably can say that embraces the changes until September.

Although a description of the Nokia side, PR1.3 'fame in a few months can predict the future, even after this latest update to Nokia's also possible to acquire speed. This version is the final version or not and what the host bilinmezken, you can still install and tried according to the users:

There is a slight improvement in the map.
Hildon-desktop and modestly updated to the latest version.
Quick search function is now much more accelerated.
Reduced volume of the jumps.
Using the front camera is no longer a red warning light is on.
Autofocus speed seems to increase.

Of course, these are still only speculation, but looking at here with a very large functions or enhancements will not say PR1.3. PR1.3 support for Nokia, Qt is already out and a new feature duyurmamıştı Dualboot. Thanks to the leaked version, and Google can be found on the Internet known ways, but the details are not clear, and we recommend that you wait for establishing a serious will not receive earnings.

I mau Flash 10.1 with GPU acceleration
As an Internet Tablet and first device to get Full Flash.... no Flash 10.1 is unacceptable leh... moreover, N900 was used for testing and demo, but others get it already still no news for N900/Maemo  cry.gif

Other wishlist:
Official MSN and Yahoo IM plugin?
Contacts Grouping?
Ringtone for Contacts/Contacts Group
SMS to Contacts Group
Show additional column/details for each number when call/sms; If a person have 2 or more contact, we can't always remember which is his primary line.

Smoother video recording; Sometimes, can experience frame drop... or lag/etc. When post to FB, the video do not play smoothly.

Better memory management; should always allocate process for the Task Switcher and Menu and X-Terminal; If some app hang, we should be able to switch to Task Switcher, go to Menu and run X-Terminal to kill the program/process. Currently, the app can take away all the resources and the device respond very slow or almost non-responsive; bad...
*
Nokia tak mau bayar Adobe again for Flash 10.1 fees.

Other functions don't know. But you can always flash & test it yourself brows.gif

Sponsor? N900? Where? Lol...

I MYSELF miss the utter nerdness of surfing with W3C (and the speed at which it settles complex websites on EDGE).

And how can a guy with a dead N900 even be considered to be potential new TS for the thread? Hadoi.

Oh well, hopefully the N9 and Meego later will be interesting enough for both of us to go rock that thread pulak - though we will prolly still drop here from time to time.

Also, why everyone go perang without me one? cry.gif

Regarding flash 10, let's just say because Nokia edi paid for the Meego ver, they prolly find little reason to pay more for an OS they supposedly dropped edi (and will replace with Meego).

As for the memory management, there's only so much a desktop grade OS like Maemo can do with 256MB RAM without resorting to the horrid slowness that is the eMMC swap. To settle that, we need more RAM AND a faster swap flash chip. Which means we need a hardware refresh.

Lastly, upgradable HP's have been a pet idea of mine next to mobile-based portable computing - maybe go the way of the Modu with modules you can swap at your discretion? Need a qwerty keyboard, attach module C. Need a more powerful camera? Replace module B with a newer model. Need more RAM? Replace module F.

But trust me, big electronic companies WILL NEVER consider this route seriously because for most people, buying a new mobile will always be easier then upgrading an old one (which is proving true even for laptops nowadays - apa lagi them cheap mobiles).

Also, they make less money by NOT forcing people to buy new models, no?

IF I am rich & unfortunately I'm not. laugh.gif

I can take care of the fanboys.Don't worry.

I think there is hardly any point talking about flash 10.1 in N900 anymore sad.gif

Their just a bunch of lunatics, even iphone fanboy like Engadget review the phone, because it's a Tech Sites. Btw, it's good enough they don't review it, cause their credibility are going down laugh.gif

I read real fun reading N900's review from Engadgets last time.I think the reviewer wrote with heavy heart when he described that N900's Internet capability is just outstanding compared to iPhone laugh.gif

Multi-touch can be implemented on Resistive screen too right?

*
Yup.It's already been demoed on one of the older HTC's phone once.

N900's screen is just fine. hardly need to use stylus.

Sidenote:If nobody want to be the next TS I guess I'll take the job.

uncle steve said android is bad because its fragmented.

but that would also mean windows xp and windows 7 is bad as well, since it runs on most, if not all x86 PC hardware...

actually if you turn it the other way round, Android is good because they can run it on most devices running on ARM architecture as well as x86 (unix/linux roots anyway)

iOS su*ks since it only runs on a single device.

*
Small reso screen especially like N8's nHD display can't really display the entire 720p effect.
But the screen so darn nice man..Was up up 4am morning looking at E7 reviews...

if it displays actual 720p output on the HDMI as well as the internal LCD with 640x360 resolution, the internal LCD is either going to get compressed pixels which look like sh.. or is gonna be scrollable because when you set resolutions higher than native LCD resolutions the video driver will take it into scrollable mode...
*
In theory I do think that the pixel is compressed but I found that the 720p Tron trailer video playback quality was rather good on one of the N8 demo model I tested.

anyway, if nokia really launches with 1280x720, what to call ? since steve said iphone4 is retina display

so this newer one is cornea or iris display ?  shocking.gif  shocking.gif  shocking.gif

1200 change to 1080 for wat ? your aspect ratio not wide enough ?

personally, i prefer aspect ratio 16:10 because some not so wide movies stretch to 16:9 everyone looks short and stubby...
*
Super expensive netbook are overated.Better buy decent laptop.

If Nokia did release N9 with 1280 x 720 screen resolution it should be called god display.Steve Job will not have any word to make iPhone 4GS/5G sound better.

Already tried it.
OTG is working on my phone but it'll hell to configure because of my messed up kernel files.
Next version of OTG will include plenty of bugfix including the fix of the continuous draw of power even after drives unplugged.

From the picture the update was complied on week 36.Exactly the same as the leaked PR updates. It's fake alright.

finally, a reason to open Application Manager (HAM)

It's slow... Fapman way faster.

Sure thing, but I doubt it'll be cheap, even the USB cable itself cost a BOMB...

Btw, anybody know where to get nice "hand strap" for handphone? Nowadays hard to find those nice one, I don't like those long long ones; last time I was using the transformers one, remove the "toy" just using the strap. I want something like those and the size of those.
*
My homemade OTG cable isn't working too well.Might as well getting a quality cable if I want to use for a long time.

Just the normal nokia micro usb cable + female 2 female adapter.
I don't want to share the OTG method yet. It's highly unstable & really complicated if you using multiboot.
