Hard to read through also, I wanna find people reply my post also susah, but can't blame also, too many users; thinking positively, which is actually good news for N8 and Nokia.

Btw, when I heard Nokia Malaysian representative says MeeGo is just a skin of Maemo, I just like shocked.

If combine Moblin + Maemo = MeeGo means it's a new OS, hence not a skins of Maemo.

Rubbish.The core of the OS has undergone some transformation.But the new GUI is something needed.
New GUI was done so average people will be able to use this OS without much issue.Some claim Maemo's GUI is hard to use.

the graphic look abit cartoonish but i saw a demo of meego there are trying to make it simple by using tabs

v 1.0.99 still have similar UI.
UI is not the main target of v 1.1 it's the overall OS functions.

Maybe they meant Maemo6 aka Harmattan, rebranded as the 1st MeeGo device from Nokia?

Could be because MeeGo for ARM & Moorestown got some difference.Obvious 1 is the support for the X86 instructions.

Yea was using the headset den suddenly take photo it fade out CHIK CAK den music comes back.

Dont worry sifu its just getting you prepared for alot amazing things to keep you entertained. When ure phone is back you have alot cool stuff i tested and experiment for u to use.

Other functions don't know.But you can always flash & test it yourself

I MYSELF miss the utter nerdness of surfing with W3C (and the speed at which it settles complex websites on EDGE).

Regarding flash 10, let's just say because Nokia edi paid for the Meego ver, they prolly find little reason to pay more for an OS they supposedly dropped edi (and will replace with Meego).

As for the memory management, there's only so much a desktop grade OS like Maemo can do with 256MB RAM without resorting to the horrid slowness that is the eMMC swap. To settle that, we need more RAM AND a faster swap flash chip. Which means we need a hardware refresh.

Lastly, upgradable HP's have been a pet idea of mine next to mobile-based portable computing - maybe go the way of the Modu with modules you can swap at your discretion? Need a qwerty keyboard, attach module C. Need a more powerful camera? Replace module B with a newer model. Need more RAM? Replace module F.

But trust me, big electronic companies WILL NEVER consider this route seriously because for most people, buying a new mobile will always be easier then upgrading an old one (which is proving true even for laptops nowadays - apa lagi them cheap mobiles).

Also, they make less money by NOT forcing people to buy new models, no?
