The P80rsII (rm1700) + usb adapter (rm400, i think) can play HDD up to 250GB. I assume the Alpine 9887 (rm1200) and adapter (rm400) is about the same.
You might wanna check if something like a Pioneer 7000 series (rm900) can support HDD too.

Hi all I'm wondering if it's possible to just connect my car's speakers to a in-line cable into my iPhone without the need passing through an audio player? If possible, how much will it cost and where can I get the services to do it? Thanks.

i dont think aux is same as USB. AUX is for your mp3 players that has line out. u have to contact pioneer if they have a special convertor for AUX - USB, not sure if they have one tho.....

Is it possible to use alphabet search function in most usb headunits if we hook let's say a usb drive into it?

Alphabet search is similar to the 'Jump' (or shortcut J) function in winamp, where u can type the artist/song title to look for songs.

I heard that Sony has a 'quick browser' function but don't really understand how that works.

Thanks

hEy the pioneer cd player HU behind all is RCA. How do i connect the RCA to my car speaker cable. Do i need a Hi-lo convertor?
HU RCA > hi-lo convertor > speaker cable?

It is reverse mode.

1) from HU use this

2) Then connect with hi-lo convertor to the male RCA

3) From the hi-lo convertor connect to the speaker wire.

I wonder will it works? cause it is a reverse mode.

OR just use this is good enough ????

Hello,

I'm using pioneer DEH-5450, using AUX port to connect to my android phone. Since my music all flac files.

I think it's not enough power from my phone side and need some kind of preamp.
Any suggestion for this one?

look up jaben for amps

alternatively, considered just using mp3 and the HU as the DAC instead of the phone? charging the portable amp/phone would be a hassle id reckon (and carrying a portable amp around, unless of course you're a portable person and have iem's/earphones or earbuds around you all the time)

This i sometimes use portable amp+phone then connect to HU you will get much better sound that way
jaben have a lot of quality amps you can choose
but yes it is a hassle unless like quaza said unless of course you're a portable person and have iem's/earphones or earbuds around you all the time
