Both the twitts from Arshavin looks fake to me.

Should not be a reason for him to twitt since he got a website of his own.

Wenger - The team had no electricity

Arsène Wenger admits his team suffered a 'power cut' at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Arsenal went into the game against West Bromwich Albion on the back of a magnificent win at Tottenham in midweek and with high hopes of cutting Chelsea's lead at the top of the Premier League to one point after the champions lost at Manchester City.

But Wenger's side were a pale shadow of their usual selves and Albion took full advantage, scoring three times in 23 second-half minutes to build what proved to be an unassailable lead, despite a late brace from Samir Nasri.

Wenger was left to ponder the reasons for one of the most listless performances of his 14-year tenure and promised to make changes for Tuesday's Champions League trip to Partizan Belgrade.

"What is the most frustrating is that there was no electricity there," said the manager.

"We had lost a generator and then it becomes difficult to play football. I knew after the first five minutes, you saw that it was all flat. It is unusual for us because we are usually a team that has energy. We were just not there. I can't remember the last time [we were like that]. It was mysterious what happened.

"West Brom played very well but it is the usual defending we get when we play. We made really basic errors defensively if you analyse any of the goals. I just feel that from back to forward we were flat and poor.

"It won't stay on my mind too long," he added. "We never forget it but we play on Tuesday night so of course we have to analyse what happened. I don't know yet [how many changes I will make for the Partizan game] but there will be some changes, that is for sure."

Seriously... without the senior players coming back, I really 'no eye see'. But nevertheless, still support! Just hope Drogba doesn't go and knock down everyone until fly like last season... biggrin.gif

Almunia injury puts Fabianski in goal

By Richard Clarke

Lukasz Fabianski will be in goal for Arsenal at Partizan Belgrade on Tuesday night.

The Polish keeper is taking the gloves because Manuel Almunia picked up an elbow injury during the penalty incident against West Brom on Saturday.

Arsène Wenger relayed the news before training on Monday morning. During that session he will decide if Kieran Gibbs can board the plane for Serbia. The left back is still recovering from the badly bruised foot he suffered at Tottenham last Tuesday.

“We have Manual Almunia out,” said the manager. “He has a problem with his elbow. He caught it when he made the penalty on Saturday.

“Also Kieran Gibbs has a test in training today.”

Almunia came under scrutiny after the 3-2 defeat at Emirates Stadium over the weekend but Wenger made it clear that, but for this injury, he was not going to leave out his No 1.

“No,” the Frenchman responded. “[The keeper] is always the easy target, the easy scapegoat. But we win together and we lose together even if people think he made a mistake on the second goal.”

1 point enough this wednesday and if almunia not fit by this saturday, then god saves arsenal.

I like how Arsene handles this. Although in reality he recognizes the goalkeeping problem, he defends Almunia in front of the media. And behind the scene;
Arsene: Manuel, for your mistake, you will be dropped for the next match.
Manuel: Dropped, boss?
Arsene: Elbow injury.
Manuel: Owh, okay.

Haha what's the difference anyway!! More goals will be conceded and more games will be lost with either of them between the post.

Yeah, why don't Wenger tells it the way it is? The players is too pampered until some of them don't look interested to win the game.

Ethics. God knows what kind of treatment these players got in the dressing room after such performances. If Wenger wants to be straight with the players, he does it behind the media. What benefit there is if he kills Almunia in front of the media?

Well, with this 'ethics' we have players that doesn't give their all because they know they will be in squad for the next match. Why can't Wenger just said Almunia has been dropped because of poor performance (or something in that sense) instead of giving excuses. It makes it look like all of them is undroppable unless it was injury.

Is TR7 Injured? He was playing well for us the past few games and suddenly lost his place to Diaby? WTH?

Anyway, despite Manny contribution to the 2nd goal, he did well for us the past few games. The Koci need to get the blame as well because he isnt closing down dat fella and let him get a powerful shot at goal.
