QUOTE(kimhoong @ Oct 6 2010, 05:07 PM) Great to have Ramsey is getting better now Totally agree!! I also hope that AW can keep Pires for 6 months or something. I don't know if there is a financial barrier but it certainly brings more positives than the opposites. His experience is indeed priceless and younger players who do not have chance to play along with such an experienced player will definitely got a lot to learn from him; such as Wilshere, Gibbs, etc |

I dont think we got a problem playing 2 DM because our play is wide and that was very dangerous leaving a big hole in the middle. We cant do wat Barca is doing because they certainly have a better ball control than our players. They lose ball a lot less than us (Esp Messi). With a big gap in the middle, losing ball when the middle spine aint strong is a suicide and is certainly testing the capabilities of our defense. So I don't mind playing 2DMs.
Too bad I think Diaby would never become wat Aw wanted him to be and Song is always offensive minded evendou in DM position. Only if frimpong could be a good DM (If not, buy one biggrin.gif) , pair him with Song and that's makes 2 DM controlling the midfield while leaving Cesc leading the offense part. ^ I think you would need to b*tch slap Song a bit, so we can have the Song we love last season.. Do his job properly at DM and improve from there. Then we can truly sing "There is only ONE Song" For Diaby, my opinion would be keep it simple. If Vieira is what inspires him, why not play like him? Instead of dribble 5 meters to the front and back 3 meters only to be tackled... Plus, like AW said, Diaby has the physical presence of Vieira, put into good use! Frimpong is out for 6 months.. so I guess we can forget about him. Another person we forgot to mention Denilson.. Can he be our Gilberto? Or better? Vieira and Gilberto last time always cover our back four. |

Haha.. I really would love to see a video of Pires training. Still wondering if he still got what he used to have in him. I dont mean Speed and Stamina wise, but his vision and techniques im sure its still with him..
I remember watching a video of DB10 playing a friendly when he was passed 40 if im not mistaken... heck, the way he scored the goal is still as beautiful. Curl into the net with power and accuracy.. we sooooo lack of that nowdays. |

Totally agree with you. At times AW gives me the impression that he was too lenient to our players.
If you see SAF (dont worry, I really DISLIKE this fella - a total a**hole), he is always tough on his players. If you dont perform, next match you will be warming the bench.. Same goes to Mourinho.. I wouldn't mind if AW gives our players some hair dryer treatment at times when they are underperformed like they did against WBA... and I remember once last season, one of our players shared AW burst out during one of the matches at half time to the players, "you guys dont fit to wear arsenal jersey performing like that!! (at first half)" And during the 2nd half, our players step up and won the match... I dont know, but you guys can draw the conclusion, AW at times can be too lenient.. which I dont mind, as I like Wenger as a encourager type of coach. But a line has to be drawn in order to bring the discipline needed for our young players. |

One thing you misunderstood me.. Im talking about PERFORMANCE.. not rooney getting fan abused nor his silly little scandal. Ferguson did it right in those situation.. But what IF Nani being selfish wanna score the goal but failed, when Rooney was in better position than him?? Or better, Anderson strolling around the park contribute nothing and losing the ball frequently?
Likewise, me (and some of my arsenal mates) dont really like seeing some players at times strolling around on the pitch or 'jogging' around when there is a need to help def. I don't know what is the strategy laid out by Wenger, but heck, if commitment is not there, then why on the pitch (and dont tell me you cant see the body language of a player when he is not committed - lethargic can be excused tho but that would manager's fault for putting the player there)? Hiddink or Leow? Im not sure about Hiddink to chelsea, but I see Germany youngsters 100% committed and thrash England.. and did you see Capello's reaction to those English stars? Even when Germany lost to Spain you know the germany youngsters 100% committed, no question asked. Why should Leow give them hair dryer treatment? Commitment, discipline and the mentality to win is lacking to some players. And this is where I hope AW would draw the line. |

@Ichighost: That's a Hair Dryer treatment then due to 'poor performance'.. I totally agree with that. Its like we go working, and sleep at work and not performing. Boss sure fire also la!!
But AW? Should do the same for player not doing their job well, bench them a few matches.. but too bad sometimes all the players for that particular position all injured... zz Added on October 7, 2010, 4:21 pm@meaj: lol yea arshavin at times can be very frustrating.. but i guess he gets less criticism cuz he scores and has quite a number of assists, and also effective in counter attack, not all the time la.. But i have seen other international arsenal fan based forum criticize him a lot tho.. This post has been edited by jonathan1986: Oct 7 2010, 04:21 PM |

Firstly.. I never trust goal.com nor most of the interviews shown by the press. Most of them are anti-arsenal, only trying to disrupt the team. Wouldn't put much thought about it..
I rate Mannone higher than Flappyianski as well, based on the matches I had seen them play last 2 seasons. Plus, Italians always have good genes for a keeper. Heh. |

Blackburn, Wolves, Stoke and Bolton...
Especially Stoke.. I despise them the most, and the fella named Shawcross.. Its a disgrace this person.. He STILL talks a lot to the press, and recently he EVEN defended Wolve's Henry tackle!! Unbelievable. I just want Stoke to GO DOWN and NEVER ever step foot onto Premiership again. And Tony Pulis is a JOKE, same goes for Allardyce. Pathetic BUNCH.. UGH!! Added on October 8, 2010, 11:33 amAnd Kudos to Danny Murphy. Great lad. Spoke the truth. Im 100% behind him!! Else those pathetic Stoke fans will keep saying Arsenal Fans and Arsene Wenger are Whinners. I can see more and more players are coming out to give a piece of their view. But i bet Tony Pulis and Shawcross wont have the intelligence to interpret this. This post has been edited by jonathan1986: Oct 8 2010, 11:33 AM |

Wilshere apart from the tackle, gosh, he's amazing. Only 18 years old, can't complain much, plus he's English (you know English players always get advantage xD)
Song.. I still prefer the old song back. The blond hair Song just irritates me, tho he did flicked the ball over the birmingham player.. that one is sweet Chamakh, I love him. He is no Bendtner!! I still like Bendtner tho, he scored many late goals last season. But Chamakh workrate is really really top notch, if he can distribute a bit to Arshavin.. ~_~ @Pullis.. Please, stoke go back to championship or div2. Gosh how much I hate them. |

I give up on RvP of coming back. I would rather rely on Chamakh, may not as skillful, but does his job well. Rather have a healthy striker than one who is very skillful but failed to occupy at least 50% of our season.

@Casanova: agreed with you. When Henry was with us last time, he played many matches and helped us a lot. RvP also got his own sets of unique skills, but when we needed him the most, he was always out injured...

Jack Wilshere's goal reminds of Pires flip-over-the-keeper goal.. or Henry-flip too.. Such an amazing player we have there
And Song looks goal frenzy la... He should give a bit of his hunger for goal to Diaby lol.. This weekend |
