u'r monitor already got HDMI port..so why do u need to get Y-splitter?

u can use HDMI for video+audio...then u connect u'r speaker direct to the output audio at u'r monitor

there's is no such not-ori PS3..all comes from sony..only DS3 got fake...the most important thing u better get a MY set..hassle free..100% guarantee original stuff and warranty

A HDMI cable is both audio and video. A DVI cable is for video only. So common sense u need to have a separate audio cable if u use a DVI cable. In my opinion better use the HDMI port. Less wire hassle. If your monitor have only one port, then i suggest u buy a HDMI switcher. So u can switch which input you want. The PC or PS3.

as for now, u dont need to worry about fake BD...search any trustable seller at the garage sale corner already should be fine...but to be safe, u can check the inner ring code with the original casing...
and region doesnt matter...if u have R3 console u can play R1/R2/R3/R4 games no problem...EXCEPT when u buying the game extra contents on PSstore ( can check on the first page )

p/s - about buying a console at local store...just make sure u buy a sealed box console...and it preferable Malaysian set

The HDMI switcher is to switch between HDMI input. Your monitor only support DVI. So U have to buy the HDMI-DVI cable and separate audio system.

I am using 2.1 Sonic Gear Tatoo Series 3 speakers.

QUOTE
Q) I'm on a budget but wish to enjoy PS3 in HD rather than my old TV. What are my cheapest options?
A) Get a wide-screen LCD monitor ~RM700. Make sure it has DVI(HDCP) or HDMI input and supports 720p. Buy a DVI-to-HDMI cable. Get a budget 2.1 speaker set if needed.

Q) I'm using PS3 with PC monitor. But the monitor don't have speaker/sound. How?
A) You need a 2.1 speaker set. For the audio, you need to get yourself a Y-splitter cable. Like this:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Then, connect the composite cable to the back of your PS3, the red and white audio to the Y-splitter, and the other end of the Y-splitter to your speakers. Just ask any computer shop for it. Must have one. Only RM10 I think. - TheUndead
The Y-splitter cable RM4-5 bucks if u buy from imbi plaza , electrical shop behind imbi mario, they have a lot of conversion cables of any type - Synco
Can also buy at Jalan Pasar - theGOne
How do i connect my speakers?HDMI switcher connects both my Ps3 and Rig to my monitor, but my monitor no sounds right? So i have to use the Y-splitter to connect the speaker to Ps3 and my rig.

Does your monitor have inbuilt speaker? If yes, the sound will come out from monitor speakers. Because a HDMI = Video+Audio. If you want to use your Sonic gear, then you should use the 'audio out' behind your monitor, plug it to a audio switcher so you can choose audio from your PC or PS3, then plug into your speaker input.

Apparently u have this..

Video Signal Analog RGB, DVI
Connector DVI-I, HDMI, Audio Out

So.. if my theory are correct, the audio signal from the HDMI cable stops there. So buy a audio cable, and jack it into your input speaker.
