This is what I did to lose weight. Trust me, it definitely works. It just depends on how determined you are to carry it out.

Get a skipping rope, its reasonable, bout RM40 at a sports shop.

Then skip everyday (if you're very determined to lose the weight) for about 20-30 mins. (Start off with just 10-15 mins, and slowly work your way up to 30 mins)

BUT, the key thing is not skipping/jumping at a constant speed. You will need to skip VERY VERY fast for 30 seconds, then rest 30 seconds. Keep doing this for 30 mins.

There are tonnes of jump rope videos on YouTube if you need help. Teaches you what's the best length of your rope.

I did this for two weeks and really started seeing a big difference. But you might reach a plateau after that, so you'll need to keep increasing the intensity. Maybe do a single leg jump etc (go to You Tube for variations).

I have to emphasize that its important to have a balanced lifestyle. A big number on the weighing scale doesn't necessarily mean that you're overweight.

Oh, and remember to warm up before going at full speed.
