I see that this bulk is closing today so I hope I'm not too late yet. Before I join the bulk(if I can), just a couple of questions. Does the Kindle 3 support Chinese ebooks? And how much is the total for a Kindle 3 Wifi only with a leather cover? Thanks hope I'm not too late for this.

Yep sure thing, my response may be a little slow but ill try my best.
Yes, as long as they are in .mobi or .azw formats they will be displayed.
I dont read them myself but here's some samples of the net

If lets say I want to transfer a certain document or files which are of compatible format with the Kindle such as PDF or TXT from my computer, can the Kindle connect to a laptop or a computer through 2.0 USB input?

Yes sir.
The Kindle connects via a Micro Usb cable (supplied in the package), its quite long too. The Kindle will also work as an external storage.
Just a few posts back there is a screenshot showing how the Kindle looks connected to the PC.

Statues ? Sure, yes I can.
However if these are particularly heavy, perhaps I may suggest this be on a Bulk on its own.
It depends how fast these can be shipped over to my friends address, ie reaching the same time as the Kindle's to ensure
it will arrive at the same time and not to hold up the main shipment.
Remember also they will be shipped via DHL or Fedex Courier. Ill let you know on the quotes.
Let me know the links via PM. smile.gif

Lets say I need to take down some important notes, can I type in a document and save it in Kindle like how a laptop does with a notepad application?

So the answer is actually a yes and no.
Randomly no. So lets say youre reading and suddenly on the TV comes out the recipe for Curry Puffs and you want
to take it down, you cant. Nevertheless lets say youre reading a particular book, and a passage in the book says 'Go Forth and Multiply'.
You like the phrase and you want to mark it and add your notes on it, you can. If youre note so happens to be the Curry Puff recipe,
that is fine too. So the next time you want to see the Curry Puff recipe, you will need to pull out the book you were reading,
go to the passage that says Go Forth and Multiply and you will get the recipe.

Remember though the basic function of a Kindle, its an eBook reader. It will not have the snaziness of a laptop nor an iPad.
It however performs its basic function impressively well smile.gif

On the flipside, you could copy the text file of your notes and then later open it up in the Kindle that will work just fine too smile.gif

The Kindle comes readily equipped with two dictionaries: (1) Oxford Dictionary of English and (2) The New Oxford American Dictionary

p.s. Already on 5th Bulk!?! You really did a great job, havocx! thumbup.gif

Unfortunately for now what I know at this time is that there is none for systematically storing. The mp3 playback is currently purely an additional
experimental feature of the Kindle. You could name your files with a number in front ie

1. Lady Gaga - Pokerface.mp3
2. Scorpions - Still Loving You.mp3

perhaps as an optional way forward.
As an ebook reader the mp3 playback is more to enchancing the reading experience of the users.
Probably with the developments going on, on the next release of the Kindle 3 Firmware, a better playback feature will come along nod.gif

To adjust the volumes though, thats much simpler,

Next to the Green Power button, underneath the Kindle, you will find the Volume Buttons, + for higher and - for lower volumes.
And it can get loud with the 2 speakers at the back. smile.gif
Hope that helped!

Thanks havocx! I totally forgotten about the volume control at the bottom.

The Kindle looks too much like a real book that I have forgotten it is not and tossed it carelessly on the floor from the bed. Oppss!!!
