Hi peeps,
I just received a PM from a forummer who tells me he's unable to purchase any extra outright units; I've just asked him for more information - when he sends those out I'll post it here, if he hasn't done so yet. Hopefully for those who wish to buy outright units, they're still gonna be available. Maxis might have decided to stop selling those because too many people were taking outright units and stock levels are declining? On another note, a friend was at 1U @ DiGi this morning about 1030AM. She tells me they're all out of iPhone 4 stocks! |

Hi peeps,
Just got the forummers PM. I think he misunderstood the outright purchase thingy. Now for those who wants to purchase outright, please bear in mind you need to be an existing customer with Maxis to buy the phone without contract (which is, outright purchase). If you're a postpaid customer, U can buy it by giving them ur current phone number. If u aren't, go buy a RM8.80 prepaid pack so you're entitled to purchase an iPhone 4 ! |

@Joey87,
Yes.. mine was installed by Machines Gardens. But it was done a month ago ; am not sure if they'll do it since there'll be an influx of people going in to make the purchase |

@Talude
I'd forgotten to ask about the trade-ins. In fact, someone reported earlier that Maxis ain't taking any trade-ins. I'm still waiting for someone who's at Gardens to confirm. Without an RSVP confirmation ID, U won't be given a ticket queue number. Without the ticket queue number U can't get into the purchase hall. Without getting into the purchase hall, U won't be able to get a phone so yeah U need it Added on September 24, 2010, 2:09 pm@Joey87, Perfecto! But they would have had much more training now since the iPhone 4 is no longer "exclusive" This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Sep 24 2010, 02:09 PM |

@avalony,
Y don't U just try showing them ur MOC and if they give U the MOC queue ticket number then it's a bonus lah otherwise.... just have to wait... @Joey87, Eh since ur there, can U check on trade-ins. Are they accepting trade-ins? And if so, do they take trade-ins of only smartphones/iPhones or any phones and PM me.. I'm going for training + meeting + dinner with client hence not gonna b here but I'll be back ocassionally to DELETE the spams |

@redzafahmy,
Eh is it standard pricing? RM580 for all 3G or it depends on the condition of ur phone? What about 16GB iPhone 3GS - what's the trade-in value?! I think sell outside got higher value, right? |

@grandwizard,
Outright phones are sold at RRP price. RM2290 and RM2690 respective for 16GB & 32GB @yupio, Your allocation is not part of the stocks for this weekend I'm sure @KheeSiao, The plans are the same as that of i3GS; pay the phone at RRP and get 500MB data free for 12 months |

@zXJaMeSXz,
At the highest value, Maxis is giving back RM1k so I assume the i3GS 32GB would fetch somewhat in the RM800-RM1k range? @objectifyme, Faster faster! |

@air_mood,
I heard it will stop for a month. Then, Maxis will implement the trade-in offer nationwide. |

@air_mood,
I heard it's going to take Maxis awhile to implement the trade-in offers. Hence it's available for the launch at Gardens this weekend. After which it won't be available and then they'll make it available again in about a months' time. |

@air_mood,
I think it's got to do with logistics? *shrugs* @yupio, I thought the official DiGi Twitter said no outright purchases are available? You will however have to fight with the rest who's gonna queue to get it but the queue should be shorter than that at Gardens. @balastix, No problemos! The signal does drop but it doesn't drop down to zero bars |

@jimmylim85,
You're allowed to extend your contract on condition your total contract period doesn't exceed 30 months. |
